I spent a week in Idaho and Washington this summer.
Couldnt believe the number of 24hour businesses there.
Pretty much every Wal-Mart and large grocery store was open 24 hours.
This was in Coeur d' Alene as well as Spokane, Was.

It used to be a lot tougher finding a fast food place that was open past 11. Now theres a bunch open til 3 am or so. Back in the 80's if you were looking for someplace to grab a quick bite at 2 am you were sol.... and forget trying to find a drugstore that was open.

Off the top of my head here are places that are open late night or 24/7:
Denny's at Motel Village and the one in Vista Heights as well as Mcleod Tr location are 24/7. The Vista Heights one is licensed for liquor. Not sure about the others.
Most A&W's (drive-thru of course) are 24/7:
Ones that I know of for sure: Franklin Mall & 32nd Ave NE locations
Just about all 7-11's are 24/7:
Ones that I know for sure: Mcknight & Edmonton Tr NE, Falshire & Falton, Martindale location, the one on Spiller Road and 21st S.E. (down from the Shamrock Hotel) and the one right next to Whitehorn station
Some Shoppers are 24/7:
Falconridge location as well as Northhill Mall location are 2 that I know of.
Depending on the Night Wendy's drive thru is open upto 3AM at the 36 St & 5th Ave N.E. location.
Most Tim Hortons are open for Drive Thru service 24/7:
23rd Ave and 52 St. N.E., Mcknight and 19 St N.E., Mcknight and Aviation Blvd. N.E. are a few that I know of that are open all night. Ones that aren't include: 39th Ave & Barlow Tr. N.E., Mcknight and Edmonton Tr. N.E.
There's a gas station at Madigan Dr. & Memorial Dr. N.E. which is 24/7 and has a Subway inside it which is 24/7.
The Petro Canada gas station at 36 and Memorial used to have an A&W inside of it and it used to be open all night.
Humpty's by 36 St & 8 Ave NE. as well as the Mcknight and Edmonton Tr N.E. locations are both 24 hours.
Mac's at Transcanada Mall is 24/7. Not all Mac's open all the time. There are some that close down after 3 am.
Burger King depending on the day at both the 17 Ave S.E. (Forest Lawn) and 52 st & Memorial (Marlborough) locations used to have drive through service until 3 am on select days.
Many places (like Safeway,Zellers, etc.) are open at 8 am. I heard recently that the Marlborough Mall Walmart went 24/7.

Yep, remember them both well. Reasonable places filled with every class of people but no major trouble that I can remember. Kind of felt like a mob hangout, if Calgary had the mob.

Jack Astors Bar and Grill on the corner of McLeod and Southland is open until 12-1ish (depending on how busy it is, but 12 is the earliest we close) on weekdays and is open until 1-2ish on weekends (1 is the earliest and again depends on business)

If Spokane (freaky place to hang around late at night) can have 24h businesses, Calgary should be able to.

I had Singapore Sam's (chinese, duh)after shutting down the bar in the summertime. It's on electric avenue east of the mac's near the Keg. I'm not sure when it closes, but it was definetly after 3am when I was there. I liked it, but I was quite shammed at the time, fwiw.
