How weird..I just received this conversation (blog? forum?) from a guy in
Dallas. I've never written on one of these things so I'll give it a shot. First;
Rick and Jenna are not leaving. Rick is going to help out in the afternoon
where he can really shine as one of the more knowlegable sports guys I've worked with. Doug will be doing 5 jobs at once including production, which I desperately need. Finally, why did that guy think I was a jerk? This may sound stupid, but I've never been refered to as that before....unless your Jay Donald..and that was pretty weird too....

Mike, don't worry about the jerk thing, everyone's got an opinion.

After speaking to (and drinking with) you on several occasions, I can assure you that you are not thought of as a jerk many people that have met you. I hope you can find some time to contribute to this forum more often in the future.

I heard Mike this morning talking about CP.

Hope he keeps coming back (let's not scare the poor guy off).

And in light of his comments, and in the spirit of the new year, I am making the New Year's resolution to not slag any members of the media, regardless of who it is, so in that light, I retract what I said about Rick L - I think that it is my perception, and if Mike thinks he is good enough to be straight man on his morning show, then he is the man.

Said he got an email from some guy in Dallas telling him about a site called calgary puck and we're all talking about him and the show and how someone called him a jerk. And he couldn't figure out how he got that title and he's never been called a jerk before. That was pretty much it. No talk about an on air partner or anything like that.

Yes, it confirms Mike's identity 100%. Mike basically said what he wrote here. A guy from Dallas directed him to this site. Upon surfing the site, he was perplexed as to why Slava would call him a jerk after meeting him lol. Funny stuff.

Mike is also in awe of the whole forum thing. He seemed to be pretty delighted by the idea of writing something on the forum, and having someone write back.
