That is just awful. So sorry to hear this. I'm marrying my fiancee of 6 years soon. I don't know what I would do if I lost her.

When I read about what happened it really struck a cord like most posters have mentioned I would be devastated losing a loved one

Oh my God Oilfan, I am so sorry to hear that.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to you and those close to you and your girlfriend.

Maybe through this terrible tradgedy people will be reminded of the consequences of getting behind the wheel after drinking and make smarter decisions, preventing this from happening to anyone else. Or maybe this will inspire stricter consequences for driving under the influence. It must be very difficult for you right now, but it has reminded me at least to just call a friend or a cab next time I think I'm sober enough to drive.

Oilfan, I am terribly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you and your girlfriends family must be going through, so just know that my thoughts are with you. Take care of yourself during this unimaginable time.

I'm so sorry for you loss. This time of year it can be particularily difficult to deal with such tragedy. Please know that my heart goes out to you and yours as you deal with this.
