OK, that's about enough. Let's just discuss the story.

I think it's a great story.

Reminds me of a story about Elvis Presley. When he was in the army, he received a letter from a young German girl who requested a letter for her birthday. Elvis complied, and gave the letter to his landlady to mail. She (accidently) kept it, and after she passed away thirty some years later - and well after Presley passed away - they found the unopened letter amongst her belongings. They were able to track down the (now middle-aged) lady and deliver the note!

Actually it remindes of the Simpsons episode where Marge heard back from Ringo Starr.

Quote:
Ringo Starr: Dear Marge, thanks for the fab painting of Yours Truly. I hung it on me wall. You're quite an artist. In answer to your question, yes, we do have hamburgers and fries in England. But we call French fries "chips". Love, Ringo. P.S.: Forgive the lateness of my reply.

When I was reading the artical I mistook the word Garage for Garbage initially. I was like why did he keep his garbage for 15 years?

A nice story though that a few letters have made it through.

I think it's quite admirable of a thing to do, as was mentioned if even 4 or 5 of those letters get to the right person he didn't waste his time at all, very good catch to find this story.
