Heck, I'm still playing the original Eastside Hockey Manager (the free version).

Anyways, I have a question about NHL07. Do you have the option to play without salary cap? For the PC version, is it much different than NHL06?

I wasn't going to buy it this year but I've bought it every year since 1995 (and later picked up the first 3 years) how can I stop now?

I have it for computer and i have a question:

Can you get rid of the cap?

I've created a team that hits 133 million / 44 million lol but won't let me finalize.

I have both 2007 and 2k7, and I've always been a 2k fan. The reason I keep playing 2007 is because of the skill stick. I would say that in all other aspects, 2k7 is superior, but since the introduction of the skill stick, that single innovation makes 2007 better as a total product.

2K7 how is the difficulty level on this one? On Hall of Fame the hardest there is for 2K6 I was easily scoring 10-15 goals per game.

I haven't seen the option to play without a Salary Cap... I play with one... I leave myself about 2 - 3 Mil in Cap space at any point in time.

Yeah I got NHL 07. Graphics are really cool, gameplay's awesome...I dunno though, its still way too easy to score in that game. Dekeing is ridiculously easy, same with wraparounds. Just go way wide and then swoop back in to the other side. I tell myself I wont let myself do that move. But when youre down in the dying seconds, you cant help it. It makes me not able to enjoy the game. Because I know I can win whenever I want to. And thats on All-Star level too.

Anyone know of a way to fix this? Put the goalie AI up or something? Is that even possible?

I think the only way to do this is dont try that move and take the loss. I know for PC you can change the stats and have super goalies but im not sure on the 360

Oh its actually PS2.

Yeah I do try that. But its hard when youre coming around the net, and they have the front of the net and the corners blocked off so you cant pass. So your only option is the wraparound move. But I cant because its a guaranteed goal, so I basically just have to give up on the scoring chance, its frustrating.

The PS2 version is a completely different game isn't it?

I love it on Xbox 360. I'm thinking I should put it up to Hard mode... on Normal mode i'm something like 34-2-1 with my Sabres, and the two losses came when I just started playing. But ususally the hard mode is ridiculous then. I'm having fun.

Superstar is where it's at... I have awesome games with a two goal margin or less regularly. I'm talking like 4-2, 3-1, 3-2. ect, and I don't win them all either.

In my last game (vs Vancouver) Mikka got a goal.

I think the game is very good, and the new controls getting you off the mirad of buttons is great. It takes about 10 - 15 games to get used to, but after that you'll never play with the buttons again. I still struggle dekeing but I guess that will come.

The biggest problems for them to work on is passing to your D in the offensive zone, it won't aim at all and the puck usually slides back into the neutral zone or your own end, the goaling passing the puck doesn't work great and there are too many of those slap shot gets deflected into the air, lands on the goalies back then in for my liking.

Thats my problem with NHL 06. I don't have an XBOX 360, yet...so I'm stuck with the newest PC version.

When I set the playing level to hard...I can't score...and the opposition always wins by at least a 4 goal margin.

Put it on medium...and I score 10-15 goals per game...opposition gets say, 12 shots on goal.

The cap dosen't really work...

I just created a line of players with 8.8 million salary and 99 skill and all i had to do was go to team managment and add these players and drop the ones they replaced and even though i was way over the cap...it saved and i played a full season.

I made a midget who weights like 170lbs...boy is he fast lol...I can ice the puck from my end and he can beat the other teams d to the puck to prevent the stoppage.

Look on www.doubleminor.net they have some good addons to make the game feel like real hockey.

Used these on the weekend. Great settings. Changed my scores from the 9-1 range to 4-2 type scores. I may not lose much still but atleast every game is close and I feel like i could. I did move the shot accuracy down another notch as well.

I was surprised. My sliders weren't all that much different but using these the shots came way down and so did the goals. Plays a good game of hockey now. And still keeps a nice variety of goals.

Glad they worked out for you... They've changed the game for me too - I beat the Canucks 3-0, but the next game I lost 0-3 to Columbus! Hard to get shots from the slot, so it makes the game more exciting!

Question for you all in regards to NHL 2007 (360 version); I've started my dynasty and about 3/4 of the season into it, Kipper and Mclennan have asked to be traded. I have been tracking their progress and everything is going great; winning record, a few SO, lots of ice time for the star goalie; but their 'confidence' keeps sliding... what gives?

What can I do to increase their confidence?

Are they getting blown out on a regular basis when they do lose? I've never had any players request to be traded.
