By the time I've got a real person on the line I'm so mad I can't think straight.

I have no doubt in my mind that this is a strategy. They know that only the Cheapest Charlies are going to spend an hour on the phone to correct some "error" that leads to me being overcharged $5.

I told him the math I took in school shows that 2.96 minus 1.99 is a number greater than zero. After 15 minutes he went to talk to his manager for another 15 minutes and they said they would reverse the charge. I don't know why that isn't a criminal offence. Blatant attempt to steal using your credit rating for extortion.
There's the other side of this. When I was working for Telus Mobility I constantly had people who'd call saying they dropped their phone in a bucket of paint and expect me to offer them a new phone for free without extending their contract. When you say "No" they say they'll cancel. Then when you go into TLC they say they won't pay so credit rating is basically your last option. God I'm glad I don't work in that department/company anymore.

Still does not work. I must have dropped about 10 F-bombs and it won't move from the main menu and to a representative.

It doesn't work if you call when you're hammered.

This so reminds me of one of the newer Red vs Blue episodes:

Voice Mail - "For delivery options, press five"
Church - "Just give me the damn beep"
VM - "To mark this message as urgent, press eleven"
C -"There is no eleven you *@#%*$&@*!#*"

I usually press "9" to get to an actual human...sometimes works. The telus one is really annoying.

I tried to call XM radio to activate a sat radio. Now they are the worst. You had to go through all their BS...push this number....say this.... once I finally got to the activate a new radio line......I was redirected to a message that said "all our representatives are currently busy. Please call again"....and then hangs up. I couldn't believe it.....did even put me on hold. It took my a fair amount of days to get a hold of someone and I wasn't to happy once I got a hold of someone.

Oh well.....I don't want to pay for the service anymore so I called....again went through the same thing......told them to cancel my service. Well I haven't been charged for anything for the last 6 months but my radio still works. SWEET.
