What about all the other gangs that exist in the city that we've known about for years. Why is the word 'muslim' being typecast anyway, is it to do with the current war on terror? The majority of muslims around the world are peace loving people. It's a shame this is fact is so difficult to grasp.

I dont have a link either, have been out of town, but I both heard it on the news and read it in the newspaper. The alarm was sounded by Muslim leaders living in Calgary, they showed a picture of one in the paper too.

To date, they are recruiting, and merely dealing in petty crimes like breaking into cars, vandalism etc.

Missed this and the link provided. It is not the same article I read, but very similar. What I do find refreshing is it is a Muslim Society themselves that is sounding the alarm. When that starts happening on a regular basis, these type of problems will start to decrease. Up to now, many within Muslim organizations have known of these problems but have not sounded the alarm and then the problem self perpetuates.
