When do you start putting up Christmas decorations?

I usually get all my stuff out and put up around the first weekend in December, never earlier than that. We usually get our tree around the second week in December.

Christmas is my favourite holiday season of the year, but putting lights and stuff up in early/mid November seems a little too much.

hha, christmas decorations... couldnt do it. i am an absolute grinch about stuff like.
i live by myself, so there really would be no point in putting them up, but i know my mother probably has all hers up by now, and if not now then soon.
when i was growing up, i think the xmas lights went up as the halloween crap came down.

as far as gifts go, my family all buy for everyone, but there are only a couple kids, so that makes a huge difference.

Man, I try really hard to wait and put them up on Dec. 1, but I love Christmas so much I will likely put them up early.

How come stores don't put up Hanukah decorations and play traditional Hebrew music?

I am like Jordon (wow never thought I would say that) I draw names, mostly cause I have a extremely large family 3 older and 3 younger not including myself and than there are parents, yes that makes us bigger than the Brady Bunch
