Rangers 3 - Nordique 1
Rangers played a solid game outshooting the Nordique 31-20 but Luongo was star of the game. Rangers could not find a way to score on Luongo for the first two periods of the game and finally...Andre Roy of all players scored the first goal for the Rangers. The Rangers then scored two more quick goals to win the game 3-1.
After the Game, Flambers address the media and announced that two seperate deals were completed

Traded to the Flames is Robert Lang and Mika Noronen and ECHL Prospect Matt Pelech
Traded to the Rangers is Ray Whitney and Chris Osgood.
Reasoning behind the trade was simiply Roloson can not play every game and the Organization had no confidence that Noronen was a capable backup.

Traded to NYI is Alexander Perezhoogin
Traded to Rangers is Tim Connolly and Brent Sopel.
The reasoning behind this trade was simply the Rangers lost their #1 Dman to an injury and needed to find another capable dman to add more depth to the ranks. As for the rumours about Tim Connolly and his concussion problems, the Rangers are not concerned about his health he will recover and play fine.
