Thank heavens Timmy's came out with the breakfast sandwich, totally saved my McMuffin cravings. Now I can ban McD's from my diet forever.

I worked at McD's for a few years and could tell stories that would scare people off of Retchin Ronnies forever

I have to ask: What times are these things available? I've been dying to try one but I've been working super late recently so I haven't been able to wake up early.

Hmmm - No Hot Mustard, no Chicken Nuggets ever again for me. Which is probably a very good thing!

Seconded.
Although anything goes with Frank's Hot Sauce.

I just read this book Chew On This: Everything You Don't Want to Know About Fast Food. It was the same guys who wrote Fast Food Nation. It's very interesting. Talks about how they make their food addictive and really how terrible it is for you. I knew fast food was "fake" and very processed, but I was shocked after reading this book just how fake it is. It also gives a good history on fast food and basically the whole process from farm to tray.
I've already cut fast food largely out of my diet, but now I am going to try and completely get rid of it.

Maybe it's because I'm Chinese, but the McDonald's sweet & sour sauce is just meh world of bland boring el-lame-o to me. I'll only use that stuff if I can throw 20 dashes of tabasco in there and stir it with a french fry.

Hmm, I think it's time to start a corporate enquiry or petition to bring back Hot Mustard sauce. Heck, I go for the sauce, not the McNuggets, healthy or not, it's worth the delicious fix.

I'm not entirely sure that Hot Mustard Sauce is discontinued or if that particular McDonalds was simply out of it.
The September 18, 2006 McDonalds Restaurants of Canada Nutrition Guide still lists Hot Mustard sauce on page 6.

I haven't had rotten Ronnie's in over 5 years.
I was totally hooked on double quarter pounders and egg mcmuffin, the waist line didn't like that too much.
Now (when a co-worker brings it to the office) the smell makes me want to hurl.
I would rather start smoking than eat that trash.

What makes the Timmy one better than the McDonalds one? Just wondering since they seem pretty similar to me (though the Tim Hortons one reminds me a little more of the McDonald's Sausage Biscuit).

I think each individual ingredient is of a higher quality. But that might be all in my head - which is fine, just fine.

I tried one of those TH breakfast sausage sandwiches the other day and wasn't all that impressed. It didn't taste particularly fresh and the whole thing was wet and soggy too.
As far as negative press goes, McD's seems to get all the attention even though there are far worse offenders out there, like KFC or Taco Bell... KFC products, for instance, have super high level of trans fats while McD has already taken trans fats out of their McNuggets.
I don't buy the conspiracy theories. McDonalds has tried lots of alternate products in the past (McLean Deluxe, Veggie Burgers, salads, fajitas), but nobody buys them. Go to Wendys, where they put lettuce and tomatoes on every burger, and you will frequently hear people asking them to hold the lettuce and tomatoe. At Wendys, you can get a salad instea of fries, but almost nobody goes for it. For a while, they were selling a great fruit salad, but pulled it off the menu because no one was buying it. People have only themselves to blame.
