This is the one big thing that has always ****ed me off about these shows. How bloody fake is that "I'm from the crime lab, I have some questions for you" Im thinking that would never happen in any jurisdiction.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Horatio either. Every episode seems to start with the crime being committed, then cut to the CSI's arriving on the scene, and then just before it cuts to the opening credits Horatio whips off his sunglasses and says something deep and profound.
He always mumbles and stares at the ground when he talks to people.
