I hear you can also make tons of money scooping up Flames tickets and then reselling them.

I don't want to de-rail the thread, but why is buying and re-selling items on Ebay legal but if you do it with Tickets it's considered scalping?

Also, tickets are a limited resource; there's only so many tickets to a game and once it's done it's gone forever, where with PS3's (for example) they will continue to make them until no one wants one.

One of the interviews I read from someone in EA Sports mentioned that they had teams working on Free Motion for other projects outside of Madden.
That'd be a shame though. I'd rather be able to take a wrist shot than see the pure ugliness of Ryan Smyth rendered to match 99.999999998817%

True, though I was just pointing out a difference between the two (i.e. that they aren't directly comparable).
Not everywhere has anti-scalping laws, so I'm not totally sure what the direct rationalle behind the law is.

I'm not just speaking on the rules of the board, i'm speaking in general. I think it's stupid that demand drives prices up and people can sell pretty much anything. But when it comes to sports tickets, it's illegal? Demand is demand. It doesn't matter that it's a one time gig (Say Game 7 of the finals) if you have someone that wants to sell, and someone who wants to buy at a demand driven price, why is it illegal exactly?
Anyways... I'll get a Wii eventually, I'm actually not impressed with the system in the least right now... and a PS3 if Blu Ray indeed takes the cake. I'm more than happy with my 360 and the games coming out for it.

Very thoughtful comments, you're thinkin economics bud. Shouldn't the person with the highest willingness to pay, the person who most values attending the event, get the ticket? It's not like a concert or hockey game is a necessity to life that the government needs to protect for the good of us citizens.

To tell you the truth neither have I. Sony likes to say they have grand plans but they never flesh those plans out it seems. 360 does need to put a little more effort into the media player but they did have a recent update that made it a lot better. Hopefully it continues to be. But when you are talking about things that are primarily game consoles you are not going to get a top of the line DVD player on it or top of the line anything else. It will basically be bargain basement components of that type. The Blu-ray DVD drive on the PS3 will be like the DVD drive of the PS2 of X-box...it will get the job done but it will pale in comparison to a standalone dedicated device.

Yeah no kidding. It's a game console -- I haven't even bothered looking at what else the Wii has along with the games other than knowing you can have any game they have ever made which is yeah -- more games.
Games that are more fun to play -- to me that's the only factor!!

If you're going to spend 700 on a PS3 why not just upgrade your computer? Better games and better graphics.

The reason blue-ray was hurried into the PS3 was so that sony could instantly saturate their market with the technology. From there, they have an instant market to sell product too such as dvd's, as well as a test audience for later purchases of standalone blue-ray devices.
It's going to be inferior technology used to sucker the masses.
Wii all the way baby. 250, won't have to wait for units, the entire nintendo game catalogue available to you as soon as you plug it in, revolutionary controller design (again, love nintendo) all mixed with old fashioned awesome gameplay.
Go Wii.

Because the average person wants to hit the power switch, sit on their couch and play a game. Not waste time with upgrades, drivers, video cards, processor speeds and a sore back from hunching over a monitor while sitting in a office desk.
