I don't know that this can be dropped on Dennis Greene. He has a big lead going into the 4th quarter and the Bear offense was worse than useless. Every head coach in the league would try the same strategy.
But how often do 2 turnovers like that get run right into the end zone?
James should have protected the ball, but it was his first fumble in almost a year.
Rackers missed 2 FGs. He difinitely should have had the second. But last year he set the NFL record. He's a great kicker, but missed one. Now he is being run out of town.
The Cardinals were not going to make the playoffs this year. The O-Line is too pourous and they can't run the ball. The D has had its moments but other teams have shown they can be scorched. Take the good from this game - They shut down a high flying offense, got 6 turnovers, and other than 2 fumbles where the worst possible thing happenned, and a bad special teams play (I think the cover team was just too hyper and overran their coverage) they had a great game.
If Rackers had made that fieldgoal, no one would be criticising anyone on the Cardinals.
