...The stamps didn't deserve that game anyways, they crapped their pants on several possesions.

You'd better not watch the NFL this year then. NFL replay officials don't even have all the TV camera angles, which resulted in a terrible, terrible call this year.
Although I have to say this game was officiated horribly.

I can understand a mistake when the game is live but to screw up on a video replay that wasn't even close is really disappointing.

I was at the game tonight and that play was right in front of me. Even Argo Fans were admitting they got away with one there.
Overall not a great game by the Stamps tonight.

Whoever wins, deserves it. That call is horse bleep. If they make that catch and then score, they DO deserve the win. So what if they made some bad plays in the first half. This could have been a great come from behind win. A way to show they pulled together after a bad start. ALSO, a way to get a bye into the western final. I am very disgruntled.

Interesting comments from Higgins:
''It doesn't matter what I think, it's what the official thinks and if he says it's a no catch, it's a no catch,'' he said. ''Hang on to the football so they don't have to review it.''
Doesn't sound pleased with his receiver.
Regardless, this is one of the reasons that I find it hard to be a CFL fan and am not nearly as big a one as I used to be. Everytime I actually settle in to watch a full game this junk happens.
Bush league call from bush league refs in a bush league.

I don't watch Stamps games but I watched alot of this one and that Johnson fellow tonight really did suck. He looked like a regular fan that came in from the stands. Is he that bad or was today just a bad day?

That non-catch had me staring at the TV in confusion for, like, five minutes. Couldn’t believe it. And how many missed calls were there? What, like four blatant face-masking calls that were missed? I’m not really an NFL fan, but if this keeps up I might have to think of switching…

Are CFL referees the most inept people on the planet?
Higgins makes a great point about hanging onto the ball. But I think the league owes the Stamps an apology for blowing the reviewed play.
Perhaps Spyhill inmates can sent the refs a box of complimentary eyeglasses:

nice quote on cfl.ca:
Once the emotions from this one are stripped away, the Stamps might discover Ireland's call was no worse than their own performance
Jerks. The came is 60 minutes long, who give a shoot if you play bad for part of it and win it in the last few minutes, it is still during the same game. Sheesh, I can't stand this: "they didn't deserve to win"

So its okay to screw a team and make a horrible call as long as they played poorly up until that point.
Thanks cfl.ca.

I agree with the everyone that Toronto biased refs what make this league considered more bush than it should!
Terrible call and I was just as mad.
Other notes I have that I saw:
Why are we even throwing the ball to Johnson??? The guy obviously can't catch teh ball unless he is under pressure. You should never be expected to catch easy, wide open passes !
And again... Why are we throwing the ball to this rookie? Who cares if he was in the nfl for four years? Our play makers are Lewis and Copeland! Rambo is starting to make a case for himself as being more reliable too!
I don't think they really went to either of our two top receivers in the second half! These are our playmakers! Higgins needs to get off his stupid ned flanders routine, lighten up and allow these guys to be more involved and celebrate how they wish after they are successful cause these are the guys who get it done! Johnson is not our goto guy and sure better not be the featured receiver in the following games again!
One last note I have ...
Listening to the qr77 last caller of the night... he said that Calgary will never win those types of calls because Jake Ireland is ferom Edmonton and always screws calgary with any chance - or something like that!!
Ugghh! I guess we move on to bc next! Lets hope they were just looking past this game and forward to these 2 coming up! These should be played much better!

News Flash for CFL.ca: Allen and the Argos didn't exactly play a brilliant game themselves. They got lucky on one interception, and that was the difference.
How many times did Allen miss a wide open Argo receiver by about 5-10 yards?
Impartial... my a**.

Brutal call.
Almost as bad as the onside punt the last play of the last game of the year 2004 vs. BC, which would've won us that game. Even worse, Dunigan had told the refs to watch for it, and they still f-ed up the call.
The CFL office apologized and assured that instant replay being introduced would make sure those mistakes didn't happen again.

Completely off topic, but still CFL topic I guess. Anyone watch the final play of SSK vs EDM? Watching Danny Maciocia choke once again and almost start crying was classic!

Hellard said he was going to raise heck on the web-site today (even if it meant a fine).
I don't see anything yet:

I don't buy the "Stamps did not deserve to win" talk. The game is 60 minutes.
The Argos didn't do much in the game other than return an interception for a TD. Other than that I thought CGY was the better team for the most part.

I agree with you troutman!
The game is 60 minutes long and rarely does one team in any sport put in a "full" 60 minute game as all players talk. We should have had that one. If it reall wasn't for the gift to England and trying to fit a square peg in a round hole (Johnson) all of the 2nd half, the game was ours!!

got something now:

nothing finable, but I'm looking forward to seeing a better explanation than just "he didn't have posession for long enough".
That being said, it's over and done with...time to focus on the Lions

^^^And that is the right response from the Stamps. They shouldn't be dwelling on this at all.
But it should be yet another wake up call to the league that their officiating is substandard.
As a fan you invest 2.5 hours into a game, you deserve to see an outcome decided by the teams on the field.
Now there will always be a human element and blown calls, but this type of thing is far to rampant in the CFL and hurts its credibility.
But I expect the CFL will deal with as they deal with most things...by doing squat.
