I'm sure if we polled the boards we would find that the number of people who haven't seen it is alot more than zero and the number of people who did see it and dismissed it to be even greater. It being on tv doesn't mean people pay attention to it.

The reaction by the rest of the news media has been pretty appalling also though. Paula Zahn (not that I ever watch her I swear) just harped on the whole "Clinton lost it angle" and many of the others took that angle never once following up on the Republican deficiency angle, but then why start now.

Displaced, I actually think the electoral college is a great system. The complexity, checks, balances, the insurance that the big states don't dominate and dictate over the small. While every single person's vote for the president is not equal at the level of the individual, as a collective there is greater equality with compensation giving to the small states.

The US system would only be a joke if you had say, dimpled chads not counting, or people being turned away for unlawful reasons (I kid I kid

And you need not kid, that stuff you're talking about happens every election and on both sides. Horrendous, but not really part of the electoral system either...more the nature of politics in the USA.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right. But the majority of the boards are Canadian males under 25. Not exactly the target demographic for FOX news or any other American media outlet.

That's a good point, I definately still think alot of people tune fox out though and it lessens the impact of their interviews and reporting.

You might be right.

But with something of this magnitude and format, it doesn't matter what network produced it. That was my only point from the beginning.

Myself, i didnt even see any of the interview until this morning, when a completely "unbiased" network was on at work. So much for "blame the media" crap that some like to spew.

Good for Bill on his response though. People should get ****ed when they are put in a situation like that, it isnt a fair fight until you swing back. he is still one of my favorite Presidents of all time, whether or not circumstances allowed him to be perceived better that he should of.

I'm not really saying it's not news worthy at all. I was more disputing that you can't write off anyone that delivers; as you say, the message because of who they are. I'm sure we all have our predjudices as to who's more credible or not, based on politics or on quality.

Last time I saw a ballot it had the names of individuals who wished to represent me. Not sure what you know of our system or what our choices are when we get to the booth.

The thing is though, that people dismiss what is said on FOX/CBS/makeupananogram of your choice all the time.

The problem there though? Hard to discredit anyone who gets information straight from the horses mouth.

people on this site freaked out when Eric Francis ( who i am certainly no fan of) reported that Marc Savard had told Francis he wanted a trade....twice. yet the overwhelming response was that Francis was an idiot, which he is, but that didnt mean that Savard didnt say what he did.

Now pardon me if I'm confused, but FOX came out looking bad on this one. I don't find them credible either, but they credibly got their ass handed to them here so despite how useless that channel is, they can't twist that exchange into anything good.

Pretty stupid move for Wallace to try to pull that stunt with a guy as smart as Clinton. Did he actually think he could outwit him, or that he hadn't done his homework before agreeing to go on that channel?

I don't follow. I cast a vote for my representative every time, even though that person never wins.
