What was the celebration the stamps did after the 2nd TD. I missed it and couldn't figure out what they did by listening to the announcers after.

4 * 100 on the track with the football being used as a baton.
Higgins even admitted after the game that it was disrespectful, and that it was addressed in the dressing room. Of course Higgins is the classiest man in the CFL, and has ties to Edmonton since he spent 11 years there, and his daughter goes to school there.
For the record, I laughed at the celebration. It's funny, but at the same time no different than TO's Dallas cowboys logo at half. It does nothing but motivate the opposition. It's disrespecting the opposition's fans.
Group dances should be used in moderation. I can see the CFL following NFL's no-celebration policy next year if this keeps up

Oh Burris... If it wasn't for that dumb, dumb, dumb time count violation, they could've sealed the win.

Yes, they were simulating the 4 * 100, but with 2 guys and only going 20 metres. Just wanted to clarify that they did not run the entire lap of the track.
I thought it was good to incorperate the track into the TD celebrations; especially seeing as how the track cuts down on the size of the field.

Yep, a weak play. Stamps to be an elite team have to beat weaker teams like the Eskimos.

I'm not a huge fan of the massive celebrations. I prefer the Barry Sanders "act like you've been there before" attitude.
That being said though there is a big difference between what you describe here and what TO did on the Stars logo. One is a celebration and the other is a direct shot at the other club.

We are only 2-2 against the worst team in the West. Just goes to show how inconsistant both Burris and this team as a whole are right now. I have no idea how you can take a time count penalty in the last three minutes of a 4 point game.

Sweet, I wish I got ESPN Classics channel.
The 1989 West Final was an awesome game as well. The Esks thought that game would be a walk in the park. haha, never underestimate the Riders.

I agree, but when it is EDM/CAL, it almost doesn't seem to matter what the records are. I'd need to check, but even in the recent 'dark' years, wasn't the Labourday home and home usually a split?
And the 2 games the Stamps lost, one was a missed chance to win it in the dying seconds (like the one Ray capitalized on) and this one was a must have TD with 4 seconds left. It isn;t like the Stamps mailed it in.
And now with AJ Gass back, it is probably a good thing they don't play the Eskies anymore - he is a force out there.

Higgins needs to lighten up. Yea he's a good coach, but you see that the cockiness of the team is getting sucked out of them when you're not allowed to have fun for doing a good job. I don't see how that was an insult at all. Maybe it's insulting because Edm scores so few touchdowns via receivers as it is that they haven't gotten a chance to do that one first! (I'm sure if our home field had a track that they would have done it at home after a TD score!)
Or else they just don't have enough personality to have enough courage to have fun after they score. They could have done something on Labour day, but they chose not to.
It really is too bad that players are being told more often that your not paid to have fun on the job and that fans don't want to see it! I haven't seen anything these guys do that has been offensive (especially in the first half of that game ....man does that hurt) or taking shots at the other team.
Besides that, ugh, why do we have to go down like that at the end???
I guess one thing is that the cfl is getting back to true don't leave until time is up form. That I can live with.
