These are speed holes. They make the car go faster.

There is another with an Ontario plate on it. The driver speaks Spanish? I heard him talking to the salesman but am not 100% sure on that. They said they came all the way here from Quebec, but didn't mention if it was a vacation or permanent thing. We saw him at the Hyatt dealership on Saturday.

Finding parts? My car's engine is from Japan and was never available in North America...at all. That's FUN to find parts for.

Acutally no, Im assuming your refering to the one you saw on top gear, thats a fq 400 which isnt available outside of the uk... and runs well over a hundred thousand pounds and is a very limited.. soo around 200000 cdn not to mention the ones you can get in the states are heavier which is gonna have a higher 0-60 time...

oh wow, i didnt realize evo's were forbidden in canada....there are a lot of them here in the Bay Area. in fact just a few weekends ago we went to an Evo car event at the dealer.......it was right after an event for MINIs which is what I drive. I for some reason dont like em as much as some do...my hubby thinks they're pretty ok though.

They aren't anymore as the rules for importing them recently changed. This thread is from 2006.

Yeah, nothing impressive IMO. The only thing that makes it "special" is that it's difficult to import and therefore rare. Quite an ugly car, and if it was easily importable no one would care.

The Evo has been and still is one of the most impressive vehicles on the market. It is understated in the way it looks, but it makes up for it in handling, and performance for the money.

I don't like the current Evos anyway. If you notice, this thread is from 2006. I liked the Evo IV - VII only.
They are on X right now.
Why would somebody resurrect this thread? I was so confused this morning, I thought I had timewarped back 3 years but then I would still be 23 years old and that would be awesome.

He works in my office.
I believe he had to get modifications done to the car to make it street legal here (at the time).
But as has been mentioned, they're legal now anyway... and I think he sold it.

Ahh, so he was one of the ones who had an VIII or IX?
I always wanted a VII. The episode of Top Gear last-last week was terrible, they shot a perfectly good one up with 50 cal guns and crushed it with military vehicles
