I love what the commentator just said...
"The 36 year old who had a cortizone shot, was concerned about the well-being of his 21 year old opponent who is ranked 8th in the world."

What a great match, it looked like Agassi would have it in 3 but then Baghdatis came back. CONGRATS ANDRE ON BEATING THE #8 seed and going to round 3 of the OPEN!

The Agassi vs. Baghdatis match last night was outstanding. That was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Baghdatis showed what kind of a competitor he truly is. Outstanding job by both players.

I thought Agassi was done for after losing his serve in the 5th set, but he broke serve right back. Great perseverance by both players, excellent match.
Baghdatis has one heck of a nice backhand! Should be a player to watch in the future

Go Andre. Talk about heart from that Baghdatis kid. Fans were booing him when his legs were cramping up, brutal. He was in control and could have finished Agassi off, I'm pretty sure he wasn't faking or stalling for time. Like a hockey player taking a dive on a breakaway, not likely.

Honestly Andre is really something.
But all those cortizone shots he has to take, it's a bit worrying. Good thing this will be his last tournament.

Early in the first set, both players have had golden break opportunities but have failed to pull them off.
2-2 early.

Andre drops the first set 5-7
He comes back strong though and breaks Becker in the first game of the second.

There isn't the great intensity of the first 2 rounds for Agassi, hopefully he can just get through this round, take a few hours to recover and more then likely play Roddick tomorrow.

Agassi fights his way to a 2nd set tie break win. Looks like another day on the court for Agassi.

Agassi wins the second set tiebreak.
It will be interesting to see how this helps him mentally. He's looked quite down the entire second set until the tiebreak.
A little fist pumping here may kickstart him.

After losing the third set 4-6, one in which he came on late, the match seems to be turning to Agassi's favor.
Becker looking tired.

Well said Mango.
That match turned on a dime. At one point it looked like Andre was going to take the 4th set and literally 2 minutes later he was facing match point.
I'll never forget the round 2 match.
Well done Andre.

I'm glad to have seen him when he started, and now ending an amazing career! If only other pro athletes took a page out of the Agassi book. It's not about image, or money. It's about what you do on the court, field, or whatever playing surface you work on. It's because of that I respec Andre Agassi.

Actually early in his career wasn't he more of an image guy? From what I remember the thing that I respect about Agasi was that he ditched the image and marketing thing and got his ass into shape and became a hell of a player. He basically found that desire around 94-95 that he needed to become a great player and really came on. A lot of other great talents never find that and fade away achieving very little. Agasi found a way to put that talent to use and go on to great things. Thats how I'll remember him as a guy who did face adversity early on, but overcome it. It's something thats actually pretty rare in pro sports.
