Does anyone else have any insight into these providers and how they are doing, which is superior (if any)?
I was thinking that before i bought too, and from all accounts, they are doing fine.

Think about it... 7,000,000 subscribers @ $12/mth = $84,000,000/mth = $1,008,000,000/year.

Thats enough to keep going.

I am no expert but the 7 mil number seems high and if that Number is even close to accurate that would be for XM USA not XM Canada. A billion in sales in a year and i am sure the stock price would be near alot higher than the 12/share it is trading at now.

I remember seeing a report on Global saying the subscriptions were not near the level they expected in Canada..

EDIT: The second link seems the indicated that the 7 mill number is not far off and should turn a profit this year but that is what NORTEL kept telling us

XM stock has lost about 3/4 of its value. Sirius is off by about 10%, I believe. But analysts think Sirius is the better buy. Sirius is adding subscribers at a faster rate and should pass XM in total subscribers at some point. Howard Stern seems to be paying off. There is lots of talk they may merge as well. Both companies subscriber numbers are inflated with free trials that come with new cars.

I listen to Left of Center non-stop on Sirius. Best indie rock station I've ever heard.

Tough to accurately count Canadian subscribers with so many people buying the American feed through the gray market.

I have it on my phone so I get a limited number of channels, though a selection of a number of styles. I listen to Flight 26 a lot, but have dipped into XM Pops, US Country, and one of the comedy stations.

What is XM like for 80's music? How many channels are devoted to best decade of all time?

The radios can technically accept either providers signal (a requirement of the fcc I guess).

Anyone have the new handheld xm radios? Inno I think it is?
