The game comes out on Friday.
Trading has been revamped and sounds pretty sweet. This is a post from one of the testers:

"The NHL EHM 2007 trade engine may not generate as much hype as the new 2D tactical engine, but it is one of the most important aspects of an ice hockey management game. It’s also one of the more difficult areas to balance properly. GMs must be able to make trades and receive fair value for their assets, without being able to exploit the AI and build teams with all the best players.
There are several changes to the trade engine that are going to have a dramatic impact on the playability – and replayability – of NHL EHM 2007.
1. Immediate feedback
When making trades, both your Assistant General Manager and the other team’s GM provide immediate feedback on the proposed deal. This is absolutely invaluable. Before you even hit the offer button, you’ll know if the GM is willing to consider your offer or not. And let me tell you, if your offer is a joke, the other team won’t hesitate to tell you so. If the trade unfairly favors the other team, your AGM will voice his displeasure as well.
The other team may be willing to consider your offer, but that doesn’t mean the trade is a sure thing. Many factors come into play when accepting or refusing a trade. This prevents GMs from adding and subtracting from the offer until they find the perfect combination that guarantees a trade.
This feature should come with a warning: trading is now extremely addictive. The dev who designed the feedback system had a lot of fun with it. I've easily spent an hour just making trades and laughing at some of the GM comments.
2. The ability to lock parts of a trade offer
In previous version, when you tried to dump an unwanted player, the counter-offer frequently wouldn’t even include the player you wanted to trade. Those days are over. When making a trade, there are locks beside each asset in the offer screen. A simple click of a lock ensures the counter-offer includes that player or pick.
3. An “offer to all” button
The devs have added one of the most-requested features to NHL EHM 2007. You can now offer a player to every team in the league with a few simple clicks of a button. And let me tell you, this is one amazing feature. The response is immediate, which is exceedingly helpful and more than a little amusing. When testing this feature, I tried offering Ovechkin to all teams in the NHL. I immediately got 26 offers. It took me 5 minutes to stop laughing.
4. A much more friendly trade engine
It is now possible to trade for most players in the league – with the right offer, of course. It is extremely difficult to trade for superstar rookies and young players with tremendous potential, as it should be. Key players are also off-limits. Everyone else is fair game. This means that blockbuster trades like the Heatley-Hossa and Thornton trades are possible, IF you have the assets to trade. Brad Richards, for example, cost me 2 first line players and 2 prospects.
The changes to the trade engine have made the latest installment of the EHM franchise even more fun and even more addictive. I wasn’t a huge fan of the trade engine in NHL EHM 2005, but I absolutely love what the devs have done with trading in EHM 2007."
