What a goof. I am glad I never saw the passion of the carpenter. Jesus was a Jew, what the hell is he saying? Are people really this stupid? Drunk driving idiot. I swear Hollywood gets stupider by the day.

I never saw Passion of the Christ for other reasons, but I was getting a annoyed with everyone saying it was anti-semetic. Now, looks like they could be right.

Well done Mr. Gibson, well done. Excellent crash and burn.

Insulting everyone who has a religion? Nice work.
I'm not a religious man, but I am certain people who are regular church-going types wouldn't love that comment.

I would. I've never gone Anti-semetic or racist when I've had too much to drink, not to mention at a cop.

Not to mention at only 0.12, you've definately still got your frame of mind.

Mel Gibson is a pre-Vatican ll redneck Catholic. He thinks the Pope is a liberal. He believes the liturgy should have remained in Latin. Of course he would consider the Jews to be the cause of all the world's wows. That is historicly what the Catholic church has believed. Read up on their history. Killing and persecuting jews isn't just a twentieth/twentyfirst century thing. It's been going on in Catholic countries since before there were Muslim countries.

Christianity today has both spectrums: There are those who believe that God has turned His back forever on the Jew and there are those who see Israel as God's chosen people. And of course there are those who believe everything in between.

O and for the record: The twentieth century was the bloodiest century in recorded history for man killing man. In that century the religion with the most blood on their hands was Atheism. I'm not sure what religion comes in second but, I'll bet it's a distant second.

Be forewarned, you will probably get jumped over for this without any proof. I'm trying to find some stuff about this on the net but to no avail yet. . . other than some weird propaganda sites.

In my experience, booze doesn't change who you are. If you're an a**hole when you're drunk, chances are you're an a**hole when you're sober

Yeah, its hard to believe the guy is tolerant while sober, and then turns into a raging anti-Semite while drunk. There's obviously more to it than 'he was drunk and said stupid things'. When I'm drunk I say stuff like '**** you' and 'go to hell', not 'are you a Jew?'.

1) Atheism isn't a religion. It is a lack of belief in the god myth.

2) I can only assume you are attributing every death under the Soviet Union to atheism. I attribute it to them having a red flag. Both of our arguments are equally valid.

3) Between atheism and religion, religion has killed FAAAAAAAR more people.

Give your head a shake.

Err..Uhhh you realize that Atheism is not a religion all it means is that you don’t believe in god…and unless you have some insane form of proof to back up your statement you sir are very wrong…

1) Atheism is the belief that there is no God. That takes faith. Only an agnostic(if any truly exist) has not put their faith in some understanding of God. In my opinion it would take a lot of faith to believe there is no God.

2) The Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, North Korea all are governments formed and run on the basis that there is no God. They believe that man is just another animal. The strongest will survive and should. They have no fear of any accountability or judgment. Right and wrong are matters of political expedience. In Pol Pot's mind he did nothing wrong. He charted the best course for the future. The weak and those unwilling to change died but, that is part of the survival of the fittest.

3) You have to give credit where credit is due. It is possible that Catholicism in its 1600 years or so or Muslims in it's 1400 years has been responsible for more deaths. Considering that Atheism only caught on as a belief system a couple hundred years ago and only became the official faith of some governments in the 20th century it is remarkable that Atheism has done so much carnage in such a little time. I doubt that their prophet Darwin had any idea of what the future would hold when he wrote "The Origin of Species and Race".

You can argue that Atheism has nothing to do with Communist's low view of human life if you want; Just like I could argue that men have hijacked various Religions from time to time as a tool to raise fighters for selfish motives, but nevertheless what is is.

I waver from time to time (I'm too stupid to stop wondering) about the whole god thing, but when I'm feeling a little agnostic I swear to god I exist.

I'm not into defending communism, but I think you have the entire concept mixed up. "The strongest will survive and should" is not a guiding principle of that system.

As for Pol Pot, I'm sure you don't want to get in a "who's who" of evil dictators argument when it comes to those who did and those who did not have some ######ed religious motivation for killing people.

I doubt that Darwin is anybody's prophet considering he was writing about the past.
