I liked Angels and Demon's but I thought DaVinci Code was a little bit boring. Deception Point was useless.

I liked the Code and Angels and Demons. It was entertaining. His writing style may leave something to be desired for some, but it was a nice easy read.

Can't really think of any awful books I've read.

I'll be the only one to admit that I enjoyed reading Dan Brown. I read Davinci code well before the hype and current it's cool to hate Dan Brown movement and thought it (not good) but very entertaining. I also enjoyed Angels and Demons simply for the fact that Pope John Paul died while reading it. (that didn't sound right).

Well sir, I have read the Da Vinci Code and I didn't list it with the terrible books, so that's something. I am brave enough to admit that I enjoyed it. Probably in the same way that I enjoy watching The Ultimate Fighter. I know it's bad and I'm sure there is something better I could be watching, but mindless entertainment is kind of fun.

And even though it's mindless entertainment, it's still a good 100 IQ points ahead of Angels and Demons.

It's threads like these that make me happy I don't know how to read.

I'm very selective of the books I read. It has to be something I don't need to put much thought into. Autobiographies are the easiest for me to get through, that's why I tend to stick with those. I don't want my mind to take me to a place I have to create. Too much work.

That's the funniest explanation for a book ever Protto. Don't get me wrong what ever floats your boat. But most people actually read for a bit of escapism. I mean why don't you go all the way and read some instruction manual, take all the creative thought process away!
Again not critisizing, more power to you man, just interesting approach.

First it was cool to like/read Dan Brown. Then it was cool to bash Dan Brown. Now it seems like its becoming cool to admit to reading and enjoying Dan Brown even though you thought it was a bad book. The only constant here is that cash register sound going off at Dan Brown's house.

I read Angels and Demons in two days and the Da Vinci Code over the course of about a week. There were times that I couldn't put the stupid things down because I wanted to read what was going to happen next. That's a good test for a trashy entertainment novel I suppose. I still think there were tremendous plot holes, the story was poorly written and the whole religious controversy was overblown. I wouldn't recommend anyone read those books but if you did and you liked them then you're okay by me.

if you couldn't put the book down, how bad could it be?

I will probably take some flack for this because I know many people really enjoyed this book but I couldn't finish Tuesdays with Morrie. I found it boring as hell. Plus I found it to be a bit preachy with all this live life to the fullest BS in it.

Really? I am not going to give you Flack because it’s your opinion you’re entitled to have it but…that’s my favorite book! I couldn’t imagine someone not liking it that blows my mind!
