The Snowbirds were in Castlegar doing a show. Pretty impressive doing their manoevers within and around the small valley there. I was at a party of about 50 people BBQing when out of nowhere an F-18 roared right over us and continued to do amazingly fast turns and spins right in that same small valley!

All of a sudden, he flew up to our area and went straight up until we lost sight of him.... then came straight down on us. I can't believe how close he came to us before he pulled up. Helluva pilot.

Wild show.

I went to last years Air Show in Lethbridge, it wasn't bad at all... except that the day I went the F-117 was supposed to show... but it didn't... the tanker than flew to Lethbridge said the 117 was supposed to rendevous with him somewhere and it never happened...

Its a shame though that this year, both Red Deer AND Lethbridge will not be holding an air show... that just sucks

Then year I was there, both a B-52 bomber, and the F-117 showed up.

It was pretty cool.
