OK. Stop joking now. Here in Saskatchewan, we've had Burris and now have Joseph, and let me tell you, I am, and most Rider fan's, glad we have Joseph and not Burris. Jason Maas is no slouch either, I believe he came of the bench to beat you in the West Final last year.

Joseph has played 4 games for the Riders and have not been too impressed. Joseph would not be a great fit on the Stamps. Mass is good but one half does not make a career. If so the first half in the west semi was just as for Burris.

Burris this year should get credit for last second touch down to win. Getting in possition to get last minute win but intercepting. Moving the ball to FG range with little time for last second FG. Burris should be panned for not putting away opponents when opertunity there and making games closer than they should be. Head to head Burris was the better QB in the game against the Riders.

I agree. I would much rather have Joseph. I think it was a stupid mistake Calgary made that actually benefitted Sask. Calgary can have Saskatchewan's sloppy seconds

I still do not understand why Calgary had to snap Burris up last year, leaving a disheartened Sask behind him. I can not speak for the entire province here, but when Burris switched to the Stamps, everyone was a little shocked, but what's even more shocking is Calgary's enthusiasm for him. He clearly was not that successful with the Riders, and now it seems as though the only team he can beat is his old team. He is definately on the bottom of the totem pole in regards to quarterbacks in the league and I think the Stamps got what was coming to them signing Burris.

Calgary grabbed Burris for the simple reason he was the best QB available at the time. That was a time for building the new Stamps. At such time a CLEAR better option comes up a move will be made. Funny from your post it sounds like the Stamps are in last place or something.

He took his team to the Western Conference final and only missed out on the Grey Cup because of an awful miss by the kicker. Pretty unsuccessful.

With basically the same team the next year the Riders were pretty bad and missed the play-offs.

Kerry Joseph has been nowhere near the play-offs in his career and hasn't looked ready to lead his team there this season.

You can keep Joseph and be happy that Burris is gone. I will take the play-offs that Burris has delivered the past couple of seasons and let the bitterness in Sask continue.

What??? Since when did the Riders miss the playoffs, if I remember correctly, after Burris left after 2004 season, the Riders went on a 5 or 6 game winning streak at the end of the 2005 season and made the playoffs in the East with the cross-over.

Sorry they didn't miss the play-offs forgot about the cross over. Doesn't take away from the fact that they didn't go as far as they did the previous year and that Burris had success with them.
