Just finished my first season and the first round of the playoffs. I finished second in the west and second overall. Not bad for having an 8 game losing streek early in the season. Well, as luck would have it, I faced the "nucks in round one. In an almost ironic way, first goal of game one goes too...
Gelinas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahaha, I though it was awesome.
Well, as per usual, the series went to seven. I won game 7, 2-0, it was a brilliant defensive effort.
next I play phoenix.
edit: best part of the entire season? Tampa didn't even make the playoffs!!

I was looking at some of the free agents and one of the availible players is R. Campenelli (sp?) or Rick the Temp of Muchmusic.
There were also some other guys that looked like game programmers or something.
Kind of a cool thing to find by surprise.
...Now only if I can sign B. Myhres

The DJ guy from Ed The Sock is on there too I think.

In the XBOX version there is all of the cameo intros already in the game. I've been waiting to see all those Flames Fans shots, but I've only gotten players and Lightning fans (bluah).
Is there a way to download those files from Cyber NHL to XBOX? Moding?
The only thing I wish they would do is connect with HNIC or Sportsnet for commentators and presentation. When I had 2001 on my Computer, I downloaded the score overlay with the HNIC logo....But I really would love to see a whole TV show...With interviews and maybe "Hotstove Lounge".
I just can't stand Jim Hughes and Craig Simpson. Hughes enunciates every letter in any sentence. It drives me batty.
My Lines:
Reinprecht-Langkow-Iginla
Gelinas-Lombardi-Donovan
Simon-Yelle-Clark
Nilson-Kobasew-Weimer
Regehr-Leopold
Ference-Lydman
Erikkson-Warrener
There is a way to get rid of all those stupid free agents that aren't actually Hockey players. In roster management, I moved them all to Elite European teams. So they never are to be seen AGAIN.
I also moved Fleury over there too.

My face is a bum!

I've got a question.... Everytime I get an injury or anything, my lines are all automatically re-shuffled. (Yelle went down and it threw Lowry on my top line). Can I make it not do this so I can just make the change myself without re-doing all my lines and re-scratching Peter Buzek??
P.S. McCammond and a 3rd for Zherdev? I wish Columbus' GM played this game!

Ya what the hell is with BUZEK there. Sick of that bugger, he keeps mysteriously ending up in the lineup because I forget about an injury. They need a 'kill a player off' function.
I'm actually liking the game how you can score in different ways now. Passing was tough at first but we've seemed to figure it out. [/b][/quote]
Before I started my Dynasty, I moved Buzek into a Euro team so I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THAT BUGGER AGAIN!

With all this roster talk, I thought I would pipe in with my greatest 2 annoyances with roster.
1) Fleury
2) Danton
The inclusion of these players really makes me think that the EA production team does not follow the nhl what so ever.

Why should Fleury be out anyways? He's still a player that's eligible isn't he? Isn't the only reason he's not playing because no one will sign him anymore? If so, then I did in my game and he's second in points. And Danton is still a player. There would be a problem if they included retired or dead players though.

Well, all that would prove is that someone on the game design team used to work for the Oiler scouting department.

Is anyone else finding that Lombardi is really, really good in the game? So far through 28 games, he is 2nd on my team in goals with 15. Behind only Iggy who has 18. Reinprecht has also scored more goals than I expected, he has 12 through 28 games.

he has like 9 goals for me through roughly 50 games. i think a lot depends on what line guys are on, because datsyuk, richards, and iggy all have more points than games played, while everyone on the second line has roughly the same number of points to games played (but usually less, barring a big night), the third line is a decently far behind, and the fourth line has very few.

These are my lineups:
First I traded for my buddy Mike Green who is in the game!!!
So excited, it's always so cool to see a friend in a video game, first time for me.
Then I traded Gauthier and Oleg for Langkow.
I still assume that McAmmond is a Flame even though he is a UFA.
So lineups:
Reinprecht-Iginla-Langkow
Gelinas-Yelle-Donovan
Lombardi-McAmmond-Kobasew
Nieminen-Green-Nilson
Regehr-Leopold
Ference-Lydman
Warrener-Commadore
Scratches:
Ritchie, Wiemer, Simon, Clark
All my centeres are awesome at faceoffs they all have a percentage of 50 or higher!!
Langkow leads my team(Daze has 103 points in 48 games WHAT THE HELL!!!) in points with Rhino and Iggy(was injured for 22 games) right behind him.
Regehr leads my dmen in points and penalty minutes, he fights too much.
Kiprusoff leads in every category of goaltending, also has gotten into 5 fights, 2 against Nabokov they must hate each other.
Commadore leads the league in hits.
Mike Green is the leading rookie in points in the league!!!
That's my team!!

It would be like that in every game. In order for them to put a player in they have to have played a game. It's part of the agreement with the NHLPA.

Lombo's not too bad, but Langkow is my leading point scorer with 27 goals and 30 assists and it's early Januaury. He snipes like crazy!

Except for NHL:EHM.... if only EHM and EA would merge into one game...
