the inner geek in me automatically recognized him as Doctor Julian Brashere from Deep Space Nine. and he did a pretty damn good job in that movie, although i still couldn't see him as an arab prince

LOL me too.

I thought it was Brasher from DSN, but I didn't think he was that lanky, so I thought it was something else.

I thought it was a really good movie too.

Yeah, just watched it here tonight. Pretty interesting flick for sure.

Hotel Rwanada's one I've wanted to see but somewhat forgot about. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to check it out this week when my wife's working night shift.

Great Movie, Agree with Lanny that Clooney was awesome, he's making some great stuff lately. There are a couple of scenes that I found absolutely gutwrenching and brutal but essential to the the film. Best film I've seen since the Constant Gardener, which was directed by the guy who did City of God, which is insane.

Yes, the prince is Dr. Bashir from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also played a royal aide/commander or Salahadin's forces in Kingdom of Heaven.

Syriana was an excellent movie. Just saw it last night for the first time and yes, stuff like this happens in the real world on a daily basis. Every little bit of it... Very eye-opening to people who are not exposed to this kind of stuff.

Yeah, Syriana was a heavy movie for sure. I left the theatre to go to the washroom and when I came back I had no idea what the hell was going on. I understood it a lot better when I watched it a second time.

Hotel Rwanda was really good, disturbing, but good. Nick Nolte played Canadian Lieutenant General Romeo Dallaire, who was in charge of the Peacekeeping mission to Rwanda during the genocide. His book is fantastic, and if you liked the movie, you'll love the book. It's called Shake Hands With The Devil. He did a lecture at Mac Hall a few months ago, it was pretty intense.
