^^ Ok Spider Man was WAAAAY better then Spider Man 2.
Spider Man 2 was... how you say... not that great. I pretty much lost interest after that train scene. He stopped a train. Right. I'm sure he's strong and all. But it's a train. Also he just turned into a slut with the mask, revealing his identity to everybody. That sucked.

I loved both, you didn't that's cool.
You lost interest when he stopped a train, but still had interest in the movie when he gained super-powers after being biten by a spider.
Interesting.

Hey, it can happen. Plus helloooooooooo, the spider was radio-active or something like that.
plus that had already been established by the time the second movie began. And then he was all of a sudden stopping trains, falling 10 stories and smashing to the ground, able to just get up and walk around. Holding up gigantic iron grids. That's Hulk strength right there... not Spider man.

That's my point, if you bought into the fact he was given powers by a spider bite, why not that he stopped a train.
I loved both movies, I love watching spidey web-sling.

Because his powers are supposed to be web slinging, spidey sense, agility.
Not super human strength.

What?
I'm pretty sure Spider man has always had strenth as one of his abilities.. the strenth of a spider.. 10 times etc.. all that jazz..
Just to add..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiderm..._and_equipment

A bite from an irradiated spider causes a variety of changes in Peter Parker's body, giving him superpowers. In the original Lee-Ditko stories Spider-Man has the ability to cling to walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense ("Spider-Sense") that alerts him to danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, and greatly enhanced speed and agility.
|
So since he was created Spiderman had superhuman strength..

Like the Spider Man series so far (2 was better than 1 IMO) and I also thought X3 was a great show, not sure why there's a lot of disappointment about that one.

Yeah I liked X3 too. Found this humourous in Rhettzky's link.
"Spider-Man has normal human tolerance to the effects of alcohol and is rarely shown consuming it, since it affects his balance, reflexes and coordination."
So the secret to defeating him is taking him out for a night on the town.

I didn't like x3 because of the villians, there was hardly any character development and plot development. It was just tie up all the loose ends movie. Juggernauts cotume was atroscious and hes not even a mutant in the comic book. Most of the sets were nothing spectacular.
I really hated the whole Phoenix story. It was butchered from the one in the comic book. I think the director was trying to tell too many stories at the same time. There was no point in mixing the Phoenix saga with the cure for mutuants.
I guess I am just too much of a Marvel comics fan boy and just didn't enjoy the 3rd one that much. The first two movies didn't follow the comics that closely but they were much better then x3.

I love the new spiderman trailer. I pretty much lost it for the Sandman CGI! It's goin to be far better than the second one, even if it does look like Peter has gone a little Emo.
One of the best things about he Spiderman frnchise is that Raimi is a rabid Spiderman fan. Has been since a child. Link ( http://www.nndb.com/people/650/000025575/)
He was instrumental in getting the studios to acept McGuire as Peter and making changes that would stay true to the comics, but still make it plausible. A great site to follow all the going ons of spiderman is superherohype.com ( http://superherohype.com/spider-man/ ) It started out as Spidermanhype.com, but evolved over time.
Yeah, sorry it's a spiderman thread. I can't let it slip by with adding my two cents.

fair enough. The problem with character development is that they would have needed about 4 hours to do it properly.

Looks good, really looking forward to it!
Had to watch the trailer a couple times to figure out the jist. I don't mind the 3 villions, kind of gives it more of a "me vs. world, need to keep this suit so I don't get my ass kicked" thing I bet they'll play on.

From the looks of the trailer I don't think Venom will be in this one, I think the movie will just set Venom up to star in the next go round. I noticed Parker ripping off the alien suit in a bell tower, probably just before he goes to finish off the new goblin.
Also I don't mind little changes in the stories to make them a little more believable (outside the miracle exception of his powers of course). I hope the alien symbiote is not from another "battle world" dimension, if my memory serves me, just like I liked how spiderman's webs were not the product of a highschoolers(with no resources or equipment) super genius.
As for these comic book movies, when are they going to bust out the best comic book ever: Groo?

Green Goblin, Sandman and Black Cat are what I saw. I really doubt Venom will be in this. Good, Venom is the most overrated Spider-man villain. Completely one dimensional character that is neither engaging or very interesting.
