Debbie's is a good site, but I found Tripadviser to be Great.
They do have a fourm section:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum...i6-Mexico.html
The people in the fourm really seem to want to help other people get the best vacation possible.
We went to the Grand Flamenco Xcaret the 1st week of June (3 weeks ago) and had the greatest time. I posted in the tripadvisor fourms about Cancun Joe's Jeep Adventures and if my wife (3 mths pregnant) could do it. Joe himself came on and said that although he would love to have us, he recommended against it and even gave me a couple "preganant friendly" ideas.
Have a great trip wherever you go.

Just a head's up, Sample00 was awesome. Saved me over $100 and took care of everything for me. All it took was a 10 minute phone call. I highly recommend finding the trip you want on tripcentral.ca, then forwarding him the link and asking for a quote.
**** yeah, can't wait to lay in the sun.

So Sample00 can you match anything that is found on the 'Net? I have found prices that no travel agent has ever been able to match.
Just wondering cause if you can, we will be booking with you for our trip next year.

I had a travel agent, but after out last trip, I don't think we'll go back with her (for a couple of reasons).
I usually find the prices on SellOffVacations.com to be the best price most of the time (but I prefer the layout of TripCentral.ca for looking around).

Keep in mind when going to the Caribbean, you dont necessaily have a choice of the day that you fly on. All the charters usually offer weekly stays, that can be extended to 2 weeks, 3 weeks etc, but they will all leave on a pre-determined day and return on a pre-determined day. So, if you have your mind made up on a certain destination, your choices will be limited as to when you leave and return.
The beaches etc on the west coast are not nice, you might have surfing, but the beaches and weather dont compare to the east Caribbean side. We did Cozumel for 2 weeks, you can do everything except surfing. We stayed at the Fiesta Americana, not the hotel, but the sort of condos at the back. It is right on the beach, offers 3 pools as well. We had the breakfast or brunch whatever you want to call it included, it was very substantial and you could have custom made dishes too. Then we did our own thing the rest of the day. All inclusives can be a good price, but they tie you down as well and depending on the food offered, are not necessarily such a great deal. Also, doing your own thing leaves you the freedom to try out the local fare. On the island of Cozumel, in the main center of San Miguel, Poncho's and the Mission are musts to eat at. The Mission has the best seafood on the island and the salsa is the best!!! There is another good place, certainly not much for atmosphere but was referred by a local working at the hotel, and they made the greatest conch chowder!!!

I've used Tripcentral.ca as well. Great people to work with and you get exactly what you thought you would.

all travel agents and agencies..have the same data base to chose from from when it comes to the different tour suppliers more so when yer looking at arranging an all inclusive to mexico, cuba, etc...
so as far as price matching is concerned..yup..we do all right.
it all comes down to how much profit the agency wants to make on each deal. I prefer volume to profit margin..thats the way I run it. I figure the volume will make up the profit at the end of the day.
