Do the above but instead of a car for sale put an ad in the personals section and say that he is a submissive, gay sex slave who will do anything a master tells him to and use the same required calling hours. That ought to make for about two weeks of being woken up by calls throughout the night.

Do a reverse look up on the number, get his address, and sign him up for a bunch of white supremacist newsletters. Then tell all his neighbours a member of the aryan nations is living beside them.
There's LOADS of things you can do with the number. There are all kinds of free personals you can advertise in...my suggestion being the "bi-curious" ones.
My personal fav is the bargain finder. Put an ad in for: " 1 free set, Maytag washer and dryer, 4 years old but still runs great. Please call after 9, I work nights and am in bed during the day". My buddy got calls for weeks...

A few weeks ago when I had a real "free" ad for the bargain finder, they called the number I was putting in the ad (which was my home number, not the one on my account) to confirm the ad.

Who here has never had to wait an extra long time for pizza or food delivery? I'm guessing it's happened to most of us. The thing is, many times when your order is late, it's because the previous order was a bad one; which involves trying to see if the address is wrong.
The one thing in all of this- if it was a wrong number he likely has no idea what your actual number is. By pressing the issue you risk escallating it, and giving him your number.
|
Hmmm you raise a good point, never really thought of it from that perspective. I guess order from places that you get consistantly bad service then (two birds one stone ).

Rules must have changed, probably due to pranks like the one we're conceiving.
Payback on the free wsher/dryer was a "recall" on his new truck. He stood in line at the car dealership after being "informed" there was an immediate and urgent recall on his model of truck that had to be performed the same day.

I see one of two options:
(1) Go to the cops.
(2) Call this number repeatedly, attempt to fax things to it etc. If a female picks up ask where your "child support" payment is?
Jacka$$es need to be taught a lesson.

My buddy kept getting calls on his cell phone from a bunch of kids, he put up with it for a few days, told the kid to quit calling, the calls escalated so my buddy went to his house, the kid answered the door and freaked out, no calls since then

Unless it becomes harassing phone calls the police have a few more important things to deal with other than crank calls.

lol... I was wondering why I never heard from you!
I still say delete it and move on. All of this other stuff sounds like entirely too much effort. If it happens again and it becomes harrassing then you should do something about it, and by something, I don't mean start a prank call war on the guy.

If you must feel you must do something do it anonymously. Don't call, don't discuss it with parents, give no way for you to be linked to anything. You're a girl, he's a guy, one that has already shown a gross or sick side. Regardless what you do or think he can one up you.

Even better reason to not get involved. This guy, could one up her, for something that we suggested here because there are no repercussions for us.
I'd just leave it alone, delete the message, think of it as a prank call and move on.

I'd suggest an ad for a house instead of a car. You'll get a lot more interest. And if you've got the address from reverse lookup, you can even advertise an openhouse.

Oh, and all phone calls should be done using Skype from a free wireless point somewhere.

while yes that's the smart thing to do, it doesn't make for good/funny conversation in this thread

I think you should just post it. Just don't type out the swears. Nothing wrong with that. Just make sure you use *** or dashes so we know how many letters there are. It would be fun to fill in the blanks on our own!

Here's what you do...
Get one of your guy friends to go to gay night club, or if he won't do that, then just a sleezy, hole-in-the-wall, bar. Ask him to write the crank caller's name and phone number on a men's room stall wall with a quick note offering hot, discreet, casual sex.
Then he'll know what being harassed is like.

Ive had the same thing happening to me for a couple months now, every weekend at about 3 in the morning some freak calls me and leaves retarted messages on my phone, at first i would just delete them but its really starting to **** me off now. I tried searching his number to find out who he was but he was unlisted. Some people really have to much time on their hands.
