Hey, weren't you the guy who was really hesitant about the 360? Welcome to the darkside.

I haven't played alot of sports games yet. Madden is one I didn't like. Seemed too simplistic for me. Fight Night is probably the best sports game released so far.

I liked NFS: Most Wanted. Fun game but I get killed online. I liked Perfect Dark Zero alot. The online play was laggy though, I haven't tried it lately. Call Of Duty 2 is a must have for both single play and online. And Battlefield 2 is better for it's online play than it's single player game. Another good game, but not great like it's PC counterpart, is Far Cry. The graphics just aren't up to par for the 360 machine.

I wouldn't have bought one if I weren't getting flown out to Vancouver to test play the next gen NHL 07.

It's a great system but there wasn't anything out to make me buy right now. But this was the kicker.

and i'm very very pleased with the system.

I tried the Madden Demo, and it looks really nice and the gameplay is OK but it's so watered down. Madden 07 should be awesome.

That new EA 07 should be good. You're a lucky s.o.b.

You'll like it even more when you get going online. There's some morons on there but most are pretty decent and won't exploit newbies...too much. Unlike clanned setups for most games. Easy to hookup with friends as well.

Another game that's supposed to be really good, I haven't played it yet, is Rockstar's Table Tennis. I keep meaning to rent it but haven't had the time. Why a ping pong game is good, I don't know. Just what I've heard from others. Since Rockstar developed it, maybe there's a hidden sex scene.

I looked quite a few places for NBA 2k6, wanted it the day I bought the system and went back yesterday and they had a used copy for cheap! YES

I love the 2k Basketball games. I downloaded the demo for World Cup and even though my PC is outstanding. The360 version kills it.

Table tennis is truly awesome and ridiculously addicting, I played it at buddy's house and is the reason I now have a 360.

Top Spin is suppost yo be really good as well. I have had a 360 since day one. The only sport games I have played are

NHL 2K6 - Not a big difference tom 2K5 on the Xbos
Madden 2006 - Nothing special hopefully 2007 will be much better
MLB 2K6 - I would recomend it if you are big Baseball fan

Today I am thinking about renting Fight Night.

I'm really getting the hang of fight night. I just won the Amature Heavyweight title in a 3rd round KO.

I will wait for a Winning Eleven title for 360 before buying a soccer game, it kicks the crap outta FIFA.

I was really considering getting a 360, and I probably will at some time, in the future when its cheaper, but right now, I'm saving my $$ for a PS3, and probably the Wii.

As an owner of the 360 theres a lack of quality games I'd want to spend 60.00 on..but then again in a few months all the new sports games will be out..can't wait for those

I'm in no hurry right now to get the 360. The current sports games aren't up to snuff yet. I think the next gen of games will kick it up and then tempt me again. The plan has always been to wait for both systems to come out and then make a choice then. I do have to admit that the price tag on the Ps3 isn't doing it any favours. Plus I hear that 360 will drop its price when the Ps3 comes out. If I can make it past the college football game that comes out in July I should be able to wait till fall.

NHL2K6 - Total Crap
Madden - looks good and was fun on the Demo I downloaded, but not having the full version it is hard to tell
Tiger 06 - Visually stunning, better controls (ie. Harder), but lack of courses kills the game - adding Riviera and the extra British course is nice, but not having Kapalua and others bites.

Top Spin looked good, but have not played it. Am waiting for EA NHL07 personally.

Yea, EA shocked the gaming community couple years back when they signed an exclusive deal to be the only one allowed to make games with the NFL licensce. Needing to respond quickly, and having to do something quick, 2kSports then grabbed the rights for the MLB license. So now, if you want EA baseball, you gotta get the College version.

Like many of you on PC, my free time has gone into oblivion for the 360. I despise 2k6 hockey yet I still love to play it online

I hate 2K6 - i went back to my EA and updated the rosters over the course of a couple of days and I am much happier. THe fielding and base running in 2K6 is awful

Really? I love 2K6. The only thing I liked about the EA game better was the Franchise mode were you could build your own stadium.

I was actually pretty impressed with 2K6. I had never tried 2K baseball before. I love the pitching and hitting, and the presentation is pretty darn good. The baserunning however does need some work. Getting a double is nearly impossible...a triple? forget about it. Most of my runs came off dingers. 2K needs to improve the "small ball" aspect of the game. The biggest P.O though is having your guy round first on a single, only to be thrown out as he steps back towards the bag.

One other comment: Stats in the game when simulating are no good. The offensive numbers are way down...hitting 20 homers is rare. Why can sports games never get this right? Look at save percentages in EA's NHL series. The worst though had to be quarterbacks in NCAA Football '06. Everyone had QB ratings up in the 200's. The reason it so bugs me is that they seemed to have it right in previous years.
