I love 80s music.

For those of you that want to listen to it 24-7, you can at: http://www.club977.com/

You can also see a year by year review of the Top 40 hits in each year at:

'84-'87 at my afterschool/summer job I listened to a top 40 am station (CKSL 1410) for hours every day. Lots of pop stuff, lots of Can con. THen in '87 I went to university and started hearing REM, Cure, New Order, Smiths, and so on, as well as a lot of classic rock that I hadn't heard. All these songs remind me so much of certain times, places and people it is amazing.

I used to love that song; and in fact I still have it on most of my 80's mix MP3 CD's. I just can't believe they did such a horrible job with that video; considering the sounds they had to put video to.

Instead for computer graphics they had a Commodore Pet running the following program.

10 Print <CTRL><REV ON>
20 Print " "
30 Goto 20

Run

Still, the keyboard riff is great. What are 80s handheld pianos called again? I can't seem to remember.

Synthesizer? Is that the word you're after?

umm...did you see something that suggested that Mr. T could rap?

I like the video for Band Aid - love to see how many people I recognize. Let's see (from memory):

has been
drug addict
public masturbator
has been
Sting
never was

I preferred "We Are the World" by USA for Africa. That is full of star vocalists whereas Band Aid only has a few + quirky 80s British acts. My favorite is always.

I'm not sure which is geekier; me writing that out or you correcting my syntax?
