Yup! Read the book Blink, it's got all kinds of cool info like that.

On a related packaging/marketing note, we redesigned a failing brand ("50") a few years ago and after the re-launch, sales increased and held at something ridiculous like a 22% increase all because of the redesign. Because of recycling issues with "painted" bottles, we had to go back to the old design after a couple of years. Now it looks like the brand will be discountinued all together. Damn recycling.

I've always wondered how Sleeman can get away with their unique bottles. Perhaps they bury the extra cost in the 'premium' price?

They pay extra to have their bottles sorted seperately and sent to their own cleaning facility. I'm sure its a good chunk of the "premium" cost. But damn they make a good brew.
They also counter that extra cost by not getting into the "promo" game and naming arenas and football feilds and such.

Interesting thing I learned, regular diet coke is based on the failed new coke formula. That's likely why it tastes like junk. I'd agree diet pepsi is better, much less aspartame taste.
Now, have you tried a coke zero yet? It is the best. Reason why? It's based on the coke classic formula.

Definitely Coke. I find Pepsi just a tad too cloying. I've done taste tests, and I can definitely distinguish between them. I'm really more of a root beer guy, though.

Coke.
Vanilla coke especially, but they seemed to have topped making it...
The new black cherry vanilla coke almost makes up for it though

I found the Vanilla Coke and the new black cherry vanilla to be too sweet. Jones Vanilla Cola however is the good stuff.

Agree completely. I can't stand Pepsi and I can tell the difference between the two in a heartbeat during any taste test.
As for diet anything...ugghhh. Diet anything tastes like crap to me. I don't know how people drink diet Coke or diet Pepsi.

Remember Pepsi Clear? Maybe it's cause I was a kid, but damn, that stuff was good!
Put me down as a member of the Diet-hating bandwagon. With food I tend to follow a basic rule: Go all the way, or don't do it at all. Personally, I think anything diet tastes like ass, so I don't even bother trying to salvage it. Both Diet and Regular are bad for you in the end, so I either drink the regular stuff, or just stay away from it all together.

Speaking of which, Cott seems to have the best ginger ale.
And is there anywhere in town you can buy Fanta Orange? My wife loved it in Mexico, but I can't recall the last time I saw Fanta in Canada.
