Wow...you're cruising for a banning.

A) He's a mod, therefore he has control over the forums for a reason
B) If you don't like reading his posts, go to a different forum. He has just as much of right to post here as you do.

C) Barry Bonds is a moron.

Well its too bad you feel that way. A couple things to clarify:

1. In this thread I challenged you on an accusation that you had no foundation for. You should not take personal offense for this, just realize that people will challenge arguments made without support. Particularly something like saying someone "has a problem with white people".
2. In the thread on the main forum it was closed because it was a topic already being discussed in another thread. As per standard course I provided you with a link to that thread so you could read others' thoughts on the topic you were interested in.

So I'm not sure what specifically ticked you off so much. Perhaps just a bad day after the Flames losing.

Well, there was that one former (I think) major leaguer who released a book last summer. In one chapter he discussed how he was helping an auction for charity and got some pretty big names to sign the usual auction-type stuff. When he went to Bonds were refused because "he wouldn't sign anything for white people".

Forget who wrote the book, but it was newsworthy on shows like Jim Rome so I'd imagine someone can help me out here.

I can verify hearing the same thing JP, I can't remember the name of the book either though.

Heh, sorta OT, but just by reading this thread, I already have decided that Avery is going on my ignore list.

Anyone using the moniker Avery was just here to get a rise out of a few people. He was never going to stick around anyway.

please fix this, i have no interest in reading any of your posts. thank you.
Exit's to your left....

Interesting how you made an accusation, and have failed to back it up when asked to do so.

You've only offered a link where Bonds accused Boston of being racist - whether he is referring to the fans, the team, or both, I'm not sure - however in no place is Bonds quoted as saying "I have a problem with white people."

So, I'll ask you as well: Can you provide a link where he made that statement?

Though if you want to avoid answering the question once again, you can take heart in knowing that I am not a moderator, so I am much easier for you to ignore than Jiri is.

Ron Kittle of the ChiSox, I don't have a link but the story is in the June 2006 Baseball Digest

I don't know that I'd go so far as to say Steroid Barry has said he hates white people, but I do know that I have heard many anecdotes on the radio where the personalities are saying that the "record" he wants more is Ruth's, and he could kind of take-or-leave Aarons.

I think its been stated that Barry, in his hypocritical way, is upset with the, I guess ... deification of Ruth by fans, feeling that Aaron does not get his due. The problem is that Ruth was an incredible player. He set his records in times when Home Runs were very, very rare, and not just that, he was also an incredible pitcher. People throw the term "completely changed the game" around a lot, but for Ruth its completely true.

Oh, and Barry sucks.

Yup.

Ruth single handedly ended the dead ball era by out homering entire teams.

Aaron was one of the most amazing players the game has seen, but he wasnt in Ruth's league.
