I currently am using a Spalding set from SportChek, it is an all steel set and I've been using it for about 6-7 years now. I think that I am consistent enough that I can upgrade my set but boy am I getting a bit of sticker shock when I see the cost of some of the new items out there.

I had actually thought about going to a sport swap type of place but thought that it might be hard for me to find anything as I'm a leftie.

If anybody is looking to buy a southpaw beginner's set; please send me a message!

Thanks for the advice though.

Good advice from above about taking several clubs on demo and then looking on eBay. I've purchased my current set and a few woods off eBay with great success. A Wilson Deep Red Fat Shaft set with stiff metal shaft. Retail $899.00 at GolfTown. I got them on eBay (Demos in 9 of 10 condition from Rock Bottom Golf) for $224 CAD including shipping (to the US). There are some great sellers on eBay
