nope i'm just joking around, I probably have seen you driving as I tend to notice the older BMW's (and chuckle ) in town as the guy I work with drives an '85 3 series (i think)
sort of like you probably have seen me driving around at some point in this vast metropolis we call home

heh heh, sorry...I'm a pretty goofy looking guy, so any comments about me in my car usually get taken personally (not really!).
A Blazer ZR2 huh? I will have to keep my eye out. North, South, or West? (Everyone in Lethbridge knows there are only three sides).
You get a chuckle huh? I happen to think an '85 BMW is a pretty classy car for a 22 year-old.

And as from the original 'idea' thread.
'76 Buick Regal. Pretty good car until the engine went on it. That was followed by a '91 Sunbird SE

1977 Pontiac Astre. It was similar to the Chevy Vega. Bought it in 1986 shortly after getting grounded from using my parents' cars. (Something about crashing them too much.)
Piece of junk, and I paid waaay too much for it. Traded it in in 1988 as a down Payment on a Trans Am. I still have said Trans Am. My friends call it "the car that wouldn't die." They even had a pool going for "where will Ken break down" when I moved it back to Calgary from Grand Prairie. Nobody won, because nobody picked "no breakdown."

Back On topic, lots of memories in that 82 escort. Purchased it for $800 and had to spend 1000 to make it street worthy, I guess a valuable learning experience

1962 Volkswagen Pickup...
I spray painted it gold with black lightening strikes on it....
I affectionately named it "Hitler's Secret Weapon"

1980 Chevrolet Malibu, 2 door. Tan color, it was actually gold, but it looked tan. I bought it late 1997 and it only had 34,500 KMs on it. At the beginning of 2002 it had roughly 150,000 KM on it and about 162,000 when I sold it last summer.
It was a good car. Very comfortable drive. An old lady owned it before I had it and my parents usually gave here a ride everywhere so she never put much mileage on it. It was mint when I got it (for a measly $1500). The body was still in immaculate shape when I sold it, but the engine was rough, very rough. Had I the money to fix it up, I'd still own it. I miss that car. Sold it for $1200 though I suppose I could've easily gotten $2000+ for it. The body was in such great shape and had no rust. The feller I sold it too was putting in a different engine. Either a 350 or a 450.
I saw it the other day. I wish I could've held onto it for a future project, but I needed the money.

Well upon getting my drivers license at 16 my dad went out and bought a 1966 Mercury pick up truck that was pretty beaten up for $750 in 92. Basically told me, if you want to drive a vehichle, you drive that one. It was a beast but for the most part it worked and it was better than a school bus. The next year when my brother turned 16 we went together on a 1980 Mercury Capri with a 4 cylinder. We only bought the car because we liked the stereo. Yeah, teenager logic for you. My brother still claims it was a good idea because he learned a lot of mechanical skills from him and my dad fixing that stupid thing every fricken day.

'76 Buick Skylark baby!
Not this actual car, that one is Dale's..whoever that is.
Mine was orange with twin black stripes (the wide ones) from the hood to the tail. Big tires on the back, and Cragar SS rims! I couldn't keep the soft plugs in the motor so every time I 'ran it' I'd lose all the water. Eventually wasted the motor and moved on to an '82 Regal.
Those were the days.

First actual car was my parent's 1978 Impala.

Similar to this, without the stripes, and, of course, the wire wheels.
Loved it. V8 350, but $20 in gas to drive 150km per week round trip to and from Highschool and sports practices in 1993 gas prices.
First car that I bought was first year of University in 1994....1986 V-6 Camaro
Similar to this (with the striping on the bottom) but in a darker (No lie, called "Flame Red") color of red than this...plus 5 spoke Iroc wheels, not these Rally wheels.

'82 Z28 Camaro red over charcoal complete with t-roofs. loved it, added some edelbrock performance heads intake and carb, had bags of fun and was very sad to see it go.
Currently I'm driving an '06 Ford Fusion SEL V6 dune pearl over charcoal and love it, its a company car and I will be very sad to see it go when the time comes. I'm definately getting another if the option is there.
