Yes, but I don't see how that ad sells burgers. Myself, I like things a little spicey; which is what most of the fast food places have as spicey sandwiches. Those ads tell me it is very spicey; as shown by the metaphor of the flames coming out of the guy's mouth.

If somebody did actually like food that spicey, they would be disappointed.

Yes, the ad makes me laugh. But it doesn't make me want to buy their product.

Commercials **** me off more than the average bear. I have a friend in advertising, so as I was drunkenly ranting about how much I hate 99% of the ads out there he explained something very enlightening to me:

If you do not like the commercial, it is because you are not in the demographic they are targeting.

I found this profound. It changed my attitude completely.

It made me realize that it is not 99% of commercials that I cannot stand, but 99% of the general TV watching public that I cannot stand.

It has really changed the way I live. A huge weight off my shoulders.

But yeah, Wendy's commercials have gone downhill bigtime. The Junior Bacon Cheeseburger is still the greatest sandwich known to man, however. Nothing will ever change that.

Props to whoever called out that Canadian Tire family. I really do not like those ads. Almost to the point where I am going to write a letter to CT's head offices demanding that they take them off the air in fear of rage fuelled riots being sparked in the streets during CBC playoff coverage.

They should have that construction worker (with a sparkling gold helmet, I might add) have a stroke in the middle of one of his ramblings. Going on and n about how much he likes to eat the pizza and then wash it down with a glass of melted butter... it's a little gross.

I don't understand how commercials like this get on TV....Do they not screen test commercials?

You'd think...

The best example I ever saw of no screen testing was a commercial for a store in the States called "BJ's" that featured a segment with a woman licking a chocolate fountain that resembeled a giant phallus. Only saw it once but my wife and I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes.
