This is bad news indeed! I flew NW last time I came back to Canada and it wasn't that bad actually. I was planning on going with them again, but I'll have to check in to this.

I think the difference between my decent experience and other people's horrible experiences with NW is what flight you're on. I've never flown on a Boeing with them, but on my way from Hong Kong to Calgary I flew on a newer Airbus and it was the first time I had ever had my own video screen with games and on-demand movies in coach class. So, when given the option to take a little quicker flight back to China again, I asked if it was an Airbus or Boeing and they said "Boeing". So I took the longer flight, but enjoyed the sevices. It seems if you're going to fly NW, try to get on their Airbus models.

I've flown plenty of times, but it's always been a Boeing. Not anymore. Chances are, if it's a Boeing, it's 20 years old. Though I'm sure there are some new Boe's out by now, I'm not ready to chance it.

As far as who I have enjoyed flying with the most, I'd have to rank it as follows:
1)Canadian (I miss them, that was a quality airline, probably flew 20 times)
2)North West (No leg room, but great in flight services, flown twice)
3)Air Canada (Service??? Flown 4 times)
4)Delta (Never had a good experience with them, flown 8 times)

Not on a large aircraft

There are more than 2 emergency exits on a 747 or L1011, but still only 2 wings.
