For those late to the show, CDPlus has it at what I would think is a mistake, but $7.99 nonetheless (and they have free S&H)...

It's a bit surprising to me how much the death of Layne is still a topic for Jerry lyrically. He covered that a lot on Degredation Trip. Kind of interesting how the death of AIC is partly responsible for it's rebirth.

Really digging All Secrets Known and Your Decision.

Wow, this album is really quite good. I was always a little anxious about the return of Alice in Chains without Layne Staley, I was a huge fan of their past work and was worried that somehow the legacy would be tarnished. You never know with comebacks, (probably a similar apprehension some of us had about Fleury).

But they seemed to go about this in the right spirit, and have made a really genuine record, and it comes across. All you can ask for is authenticity, and they delivered it. All Secrets Known is amongst the best songs in the AIC catalogue. Jerry's guitar work is as great as ever. As a fan, all I can say is this album can stand solidly beside the other Alice in Chains records. Still, sometimes I catch myself trying to hear the song with Layne's vocals in it (no disrespect to DuVall).

Agree with others also, its nice to listen to some hard rock that doesn't seem like some kind of joke.

Sir Elton John on piano on the title track, in case you haven't gotten into the liner notes yet.

Nice.

Sweet, I didn't know that. I actually downloaded the album from iTunes, and it came with an interactive booklet, but I haven't looked at it yet.

Edit- AIC put on a great performance on Jimmy Kimmel tonight.

I've been through the CD about a dozen times now. I have to say, it is way better than I expected. Way better. I can't say it is better than any of the three previous studio albums or the two EP's, but it certainly holds up to the test of this AIC fan.Very, very strong effort!!

God I love this album. I haven't been this obsessed with an album since last years Death Magnetic.

Feb 20th would be a perfect date to hit Wichita, since it's on the way to KC from Denver....sorta.

I was watching the show I went to in '92 on youtube last night. Nice timing.
