Am I missing something? I don't see the AF ads, all I get is the South Africa stuff.........how did they know I was Dutch?

There used to be some banner ad on the right side (where the Google ads are now) with some hot chic in it and something about dating. I don't recall the last time I saw those but I recall having noticed them when I'm at work.

I just get the call Africa ads as well. Why is it different for some people? Does anyone know?

I believe ads use info on your pc to determine keywords of what you've been looking for. Cookies and what not. I may be wrong though.

I'm glad to hear everyone else gets the South African related ads on the side.

I'm of South African descent and I was going nuts trying to figure out how the ads knew to target me!

Come to think of it, I should use the "Call South Africa" service as my parents are over there right now...

I know on other forums I visit the google ads base it on the content of the page. If that is so then all the S.A. references just ensure that this will be the ads.
I've never really paid much attention to them so I'll have to keep track if other threads have the same ads. (for the record, CP is one of 2 sites I have whitelisted for adblock purposes).


Edit: I'm wrong - pretty consistent South Africa golf ads on most threads. Weird.

Has this site been running slowly for anyone else lately besides myself?

When I open up a thread in the forum, the CP logo on the top left appears with the usual advertisement to the right of it, but then the page stops loading and the actual thread doesn't show up until like 15 seconds later.

This never happened before and I can't seem to figure it out.
