I'm still not in the real world but here's a running list of what I've done so far in basically chronological order: - Runner at a custom's broker - Basically answered phones, filed stuff, put barcodes on documents and filed them with Canada Customs.
- Maintenance - Pretty much the only one on site taking care of the outside and inside of an old folk's home. I can count on two hands the number of times I had to deal with backed up toilets that were plugged by old men having their first bowel movement in about a month. Good times...
- Immigration Officer - Issuing work and study permits, ****ing off foreigners and sending home criminals. Lot's of power for a frosh in University.
- Legal Assistant - Working for the government again. It's amazing how much bad/weird criminal stuff goes on that most people don't know about.

Basically a part time job once a week / one weekend a month, you learn all the different things that you need to know in your chosen trade, and if a war were to break out, the government can mobilize you into active service. Pay was pretty good, and I learned a lot of useful skills, including leadership & people skills.

- did the fast food thing at Dairy Queen for 2 years. While the job itself was horrid, the people were awesome, and the 50% discount was amazing. Double Cheeseburger, Fries, Pop, Sundae for $2.50, thankyou very much!
- Radio Shack for about 4 years (before it switched to the Source by CC) it was a fun job, made me into the technojunkie that I am today. Discounts were meh, but the people were always great in the stories I worked in.

Well, Cheese I'd love to expose everything in a stirring tell-all thread but it's one of those confidentiality things and I don't feel like going to jail or putting officers' safety in jeopardy for the sake of the board. The stories from all the weirdos and famous people at immigration were better anyway!
