Morrison has 44 today. 37 in the second half...including 8 3's. MONEY.

Missed the end of the Zags game today, but saw enough to see Morrison's cheesy mustache!

Anyways, Zags beat LMU 79-70.

Morrison had a career-best 44 points, 37 of them in the second half.

Great player.

One thing I can't stand about the college game is that gift of a 3-point line.

They really need to consider moving it back, because guards can single handedly dominate the league.

I understand your point, but I disagree.

I think what it does is force teams to play man to man defense instead of a collapsing zone which renders the big man less effective.

The three point threat makes great defense imperative.

I don't know man, they barely play zone in the NBA, and I think they play just as much in College.

Well, the NBA is a spread the floor, one on one league. Not really a good comparison.

There is a lot of zone in the NCAA when the opposition can't shoot or the defensive team is not good defending individually. If, though, you are playing a team that has 3-point range you have to respect it and play defense outside of 15 feet. I think that's important in making the game exciting, both inside and outside. Just my opinion though.

He played like it tonight against SFU. Reddick is good but Morrison is even better.

Morrison just took that game over. Wow, and then the pass to P-Mac to win was amazing. Nice shot by the Canadian kid. For the scoring race between Redick and Morrison, will confrence tournament numbers count, or is it just the regular season? If it is, Redick has two games left and Morrison is still ahead

That's just wrong man.

By the way, I'm pretty sure all games count. Not only conference tournament games, but NIT and NCAA games as well.

P-Mac is a great nickname for the guy, don't blame me blame the announcers in spoake. Did anybody see Cespides last night? The cool calm collected Canadian, he hits a 3 to win the game basically and he doesen't even flash a smile while everyone around him is going crazy.

For you Zags fan, Turiaf is getting a ton of love in LA. He's already become a fan favorite for his hard work and just excitment. They say nearly every layup, Ronny's jumping up and down on the sideline. He had a hell of a game against the Celtics last week with a block on Paul Pierce with 30 seconds left in the game. Phil Jackson really seems big on the guy, wishing a lot of his players would play with Rony's work ethic. GREAT TO SEE!!

Phil Jackson related the other day in his daily press conference how Kobe told Turiaf that he understands the triangle offense better than other players who've had six months in it.

Two words: JJ Redick! Redick has Morrison by a bit I think. Redick does it all and is one of those gamebreakers. He might have more talent around him but he is an amazing talent. I've watched Morrison a few games this year and he is a great player as well. I don't think he has the whole overall game compared to JJ though.

I think Redick may be the slightly better college player right now, but as many people in basketball think as well, Morrison will be the better pro.

Was just reading the SI article on them both, was really cool to see how good of friends they've become. Adam was one of the first guys to contact JJ after he set the Duke scoring record

Both guys (Redick and Morrison) were 2 of 23 players chosen today as possible candidates for the World Championships and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for Team USA. They were the only 2 college players chosen. The other 21 are (all from NBA):

- Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, Gilbert Arenas, Shane Battier, Chauncey Billups, Bruce Bowen, Elton Brand, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Lamar Odom, Brad Miller, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson, Chris Paul, Michael Redd, Luke Ridnour, Paul Pierce

Notes:

Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan didn't want to commit to the 3 year period that was necessary in 2004 and that is why they weren't on the list.

I can't believe Iverson wasn't on here!

Wallace, McGrady, Allen, Carter, Kidd, Shaq......why weren't they chosen?

Wow, that was an ugly win for the WCC championship. Did they ever squeak those two out, and Morrison didn't play particularly well in either game. They have to play a whole lot better to do well in the NCAA.

That was defintley not the best game I've seen from the Zags. Batista playing injured really hurt them. Morrison did not have his best game, but I thought in the second half he did a lot of the little things to help the Zags win. Gotta be better when it comes to the big dance
