Pizza to me is all about the sauce... it could be the worst crust in the world, but if the sauce is good... I'll enjoy it.

I agree with the BP's statement above, they have the best pizza sauce!

Oakridge Pizza on 90th Ave SW was my fave growing up. The cheese was baked over the toppings.

For franchise pizza I prefer Papa Johns. I like the dipping sauces that PanaGo provides.
papa johns is waaaaaaay to skimpy on the cheese. its not bad, but i hate places that barely put any cheese on...

best deal around is square pizzza factory on 17th ave and 45st s.w... if you pick up a 10" round pizza, it is 6.75$.. great pizza too

At least Papa's uses real cheese (I think). Most places use some kind of petroleum product cheese substitute.

Thick crust: Bonna Roma is awesome.
Thin crust: Gondola's
Franchise: Gotta go with Panago, but only because they have the best BBQ sauce. Gotta love the BBQ chicken with bacon and BBQ sauce.

Stromboli INN in kensington used to be wicked b ut the last time I had it I had to take it back it was so sh*tty.
I agree. Stromboli's used to be the best in the city. Until the owner decided to go back to italy for good, and took his mother with him. Used to be a good family friend of hours. Did you know most of his ingredients came from italy when he went there each summer?

I have the recipe for the wonderul dough/crust that his mother used to make if anyone wants it. [/b][/quote]
Yes please send the recipe for that crust my way--

I'll never forget the first time I tried stromboli's pizza... unfortunately I'll never forget the last time I tried it either , haven't had it since. Such a shame that place went downhill!

I really like Gondola thin crust pizza, too. Too bad it's usually so greasy it practically slides out the other end about an hour after you eat it...

Volo's is probably my favourite thicker crust pizza in town. Unfortunately because of the limited delivery area I rarely eat it anymore.

Rio Pizza (down in Maple Ridge - Across from R.T Alderman Jr.High) and Michaels on 10th street are the best, hands down. (and I know these have been said)

The Panago BBQ sauce is just your everyday Kraft Hickory BBQ sauce mixed with pizza sauce 50/50. The tropical sauce is Kraft sweet and sour, and pizza sauce 50/50 . So if you want to make your own, there ya go.

It's not in Calgary, but "The Whirling Dervish" in Lethbridge is truly amazing pizza. Costs a little (aka "a lot) extra but it rules.

This is a bit of an ad because I know the family that owns it, but honestly, it rules. It's all handmade and such.

My dads cousin was the owner of Tino's restaurant on center Street. It closed down because the lease expired, and Lina (owner of Lina's Italian market, and the whole strip mall) had other intentions with the place. It is gonna become a restaurant again now, sort of like a restaurant/lounge. A favourite of mine has to be Sandro's pizza up on Edmonton Trail. Great pizza, homemade as well. Favourite has to be the dom's special. Big jumbo shrimp on top! Awesome!

Toms in the south... I had it for the first time last week (thin crust), it upset my stomach - but amazing pizza.

I'll admit though, I haven't had that many private pizza varieties, mostly just name crap.

Now the best Pizza I have EVER had is Sbaro's in Time Square NY. That is truely amazing pizza.
