Well it would be the same thing if Duceppe had said "Alberta sucks..." but he didn't.

I'm surprised you are so sensitive. What do you expect from a separatist?

Calgary runs the country if Harper wins?? Sure it does.

This is a potshot at all Calgarians, and I cant believe you dont see it that way, but each to their own.

I guess it's OK for me to espouse as a displaced Calgarian then...

Actually, no. Because your statement is truthful.

I'm surprised nobody has brought up Flanagan yet, Harper's old poli sci prof (well mine too) who is somewhat like 2nd in command and the campaign and policy advisor and closest condidant - an American.

But then again, he's been living and teaching at the U of C since the 60s.

It doesn't and that's exactly my point. My point is that I find it odd that the media or partisan publications who love these things hasn't gotten on it yet...or even the Liberals.

As someone who hasn't voted anything other than NDP or Green in the last 5 elections, I don't usually jump into the CalgaryPuck political threads, lest I be tackled by a whole football team of opposition.

But I think there was a misunderstanding of Duceppe's statement. What he was telling Quebec voters was that if they elected Conservative MPs *IN QUEBEC*, those MPs would be putting in place policies that would help Alberta and not Quebec. I would think Saskatchewan would want to elect MPs that would want to help Saskatchewan. PEI would want to elect MPs that would help PEI. He wasn't saying anything bad about Calgary. He was saying something bad about the Conservative party; namely that they don't support Quebec issues. That's his opinion and a debatable point.

I don't think the MPs that your province have sent to Parliament have represented Quebec's interests over Alberta's interests.
