But I know the type of person Anders is. I went to school with him for 4 years.

I also went to school for 4 years with the asshat that is Rob Anders. I could go on all day saying bad things about the guy, but I have better things to do. He truly is an embarassment to his party and riding though.

And I'm lucky enough to live in his riding.

I could not bring myself to vote Liberal, so Green it'll be.

I long for the return of the Rhino Party!

I don't care which party he's with, if he's not presenting himself for inspection in front of the electorate at a time like this then its disrespectful and he doesn't deserve your vote.

You gotta show up for at least a few of the debates.

The Herald had a story about him today:

Anders has his detractors, but he wins when it counts

http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/...2-8b3a7535a949

Who are these people that support his nomination?

Not defending Anders, just clarifying the situation. Watched the news last night about this, and the organizer recognized that Anders had gone to two other all-candidates forums in the two previous nights.

The "in a row" part isn't factual.

Carry on. And someone wise up in Calgary West and not nominate this guy anymore.

Where was Rob Anders when Nelson Mandella wanted to talk to him about being labeled a Communist and a Terrorist? Where has he been when his riding asks for his participation? Where is this guy going to be if you need the assistance of your MP? He'll be hiding under his desk sleeping while getting paid FAR too much for it.
Well I was going to vote Green pretty much because I thought Anders would easily win and the Green's could use my buck seventy-five/year or however much it is. But now with all this stuff going on I might have to hold my nose and vote Anders because I do want the Cons to win in my riding.

I don't think you need to change your vote, I don't believe Calpuck is a good representation of his support or lack thereof, he'll win in a walk like the rest of the city.

BOLD PREDICTION:

Anders get re-elected.

1997: Rob Anders [Ref./47.2%] def. Dave Bronconnier [Lib./29%] & Sergei Scurfield [PC/18.2%]
2000: Rob Anders [CA/54%] def. Jim Silye [PC/21.6%] & Frank Bruseker [Lib./18.2%]
2004: Rob Anders [Cons./55.9%] def. Justin Thompson [Lib./29.3%] & Danielle Roberts [Green/7.6%]

And 2006?
Anders [Cons./45-50%] def. Jennifer Pollock [Lib. 35%] & Danielle Roberts [Green/10%]

I don't know if any of you live in Silver Springs. But on the main road, Rob Anders sign has had a Hitler style mustache drawn with black marker on his picture for I think almost 2 weeks now. Clearly, him, nor none of his supporters care that much or that sign would have been changed a long time ago.
Then again, for all I know, they could change the sign daily and someone keeps re-drawing the mustache.

Is this a Conservative trend? I was watching CPAC one day (I was bored) and they had an Aggricultural debate but the Conservative member didn't show up, and the reserve Conservative wasn't there either. And the Conservative incumbent in Saskatoon-Humboldt, Brad Trost, didn't show up a the U of S debate either. Being no shows certainly aren't gonna help them get elected.

I asked a friend of mine in the CPC about Anders and he told me something I was not aware of; since the Conservatives believed there would be a quick election call, Harper decided all sitting conservatives would be promised their nomination.

How does that work? I'd like to help in the "oust Anders" internal campaign the next go-round.
