The issue had nothing to do with vBulletin.

On further investigation (and after resetting various DNS everywhere, flushing etc.) that the main site (calgarypuck.com) resolves correctly, whereas the subs do not (forum.calgarypuck.com eg).

Not sure why that would be.

DNS propagation can be weird when you're renewing a domain. Lots of weird caching behaviour. If anyone is experiencing issues on desktop I'd recommend just viewing on a different browser for a day or two then everything should be resolved. That is if it isn't resolved already, everything seems fine on my end again after seeing the expired domain page all day yesterday, just make sure you clear your cache or clear recent history.

IN my case, I updated the two Pi-Holes, flushed the DNS locally and restarted the services on the RPis and am now back to normal. Seems like some weird propagation issue indeed (cached A record or CNAME?).

Oops - spoke too soon. Nope...subdomains still failing.

Restarted both RPis...NOW it's good. Gotta love technology!

Yesterday, I told my girlfriend I wouldn’t have anything interesting to talk about because “The Puck” (her nickname) was down. She laughed and asked what I was going to do all day.

On a serious note, she used to fact check me when I told her about something I read on The Puck, she doesn’t anymore.

Lol! I remember years ago I went to my Wife's Company Christmas party and ended up talking hockey with some of her co-workers, I forget the specifics but I essentially told the guys, almost word for word, one of my posts on the topic.

"Hey...on Calgarypuck that Locke poster said the exact same thing!"

*Awkward silence ensues*

"You didn't read that...did you? You wrote it."

Caught red-handed.

Awwwkwaaaaard.....
