How does this kind of thing get sanctioned? That was like a Donald Brashear in his prime vs one of the Sedins.

I think that last punch was a bit of a "Stop taunting like I couldn't end this at any second" and then he ended it.

I think anyone watching that fight knows AJ could've finished it at any moment he wanted.

"He was competitive in there!"... you can really tell who signs their cheques when they call that competitive.

Morbid curiosity got the best of me. That was a waste of time. Too bad that last punch by Joshua didn't do more damage.

That was a pretty brutal ko punch. He was up against the ropes so it made the fall not look quite as bad but that was a full on joshua power shot to the head with no gloves up or defence, the way his neck snapped back was ugly, hes lucky he didn't get killed out there

I don't watch boxing at all, but good lord that's a nuclear-level right hand by AJ. That thing looks like a freight train in motion

He's always had the punch. His chin is super suspect.

Go watch AJ vs Fat Ruiz on youtube. Tubby beating him was crazy.

Anthony Joshua post fight comments
"I need to give this guy a systematic breakdown,” he said.

“I said I’m going to take his soul, I said I’m going to see it leaving his body round after round. When the time comes, some people are there to get knocked out. I said it and that’s exactly what happened.

“I just took my time and I got the job done within the time limit of eight rounds."

I watched the fight and let’s not kid ourselves, this was about money and a gentle workout for AJ as he works his way back. AJ better bring a lot more (I know he was holding back) if he hopes to get back into contention in the heavyweight division.

I don’t think we see Jake Paul in Heavyweight again. And I suspect that he will not have such a large step up in opponent in the future. He is getting older too and his advisers need to remind him that at some point he needs to look after himself.

Forgetting the hype train etc that surrounds him, he clearly can build MVP going forward. He’s a brave person getting into the boxing ring, and borderline crazy to fight AJ, but he needs to recognize that 2 breaks in his jaw is pretty lucky.

Good on Jake

Getting into the ring with a guy 5 inches taller and 40 lbs heavier who is also exponentially more talented then you , and embarrassing yourself crawling around and then getting your jaw smashed just to help promote boxing on Netflix takes a pair of balls

I know they both made a ton of money , but Jake already had a ton of money and didn’t need to do this to make more

It’s like if Don King got into the ring when he was promoting

I actually felt a bit bad for Jake by the end . It has to be terrifying being that exhausted and against a man that big and he still tried to throw a few punches in round 5 and 6 knowing he was about to get killed
