Not even mad. Okay a little, wanted to see the outage going from 31st to 22nd. Instead of mushy middle talk over the next 2 days it looks like it will be around the ownership.

I was at the game, was a pleasure to watch #71 in action. Man I wish we could get a player like that, and not just through luck in the 4th round with #13.

He took over the game and kept the crowd on their feet.

Gotta keep Kadri and Coleman until next year because it's not important to trade anyone until they're a UFA when you're rebuilding.

Win the lottery in the one year in a decade when a player like that is in the draft. You could finish last 20 years in a row and still not have that particular bit of luck.

Sucks, doesn’t it?

Maloney club tonight:
See firsthand an elite player picked at the top of the draft decimate the team single handedly --> Still prefer shooting to eke out two home playoff dates with no first line.
"Th-the core is g-good boys.."

Or the ones that want to win just to see a few posters upset. Which is its own kind of odd schadenfreude-derived pseudofandom.

Okay sorry, carry on.

Or 20 years not even entering the lottery and having nothing to show for it so, you know what, I'll take slim odds over no odds.

We’ve been in the lottery pretty regularly. Would be cool if we weren’t!

No idea why Wolf is considered a valuable goalie in this league.

This season is going to be a grind for another month at least with pretty much the same conversation about trading the big 3 and if this is a rebuild or not. Realistically it will be just before the Olympics until the dominoes start to fall. I can't imagine a team coming forward with legit offers till then. So we will go around in circles until that shoe drops. We will probably win at least one more game before Christmas, hopefully against the oilers. Flames will be probably around 32 points after 37 games. Suddenly their last 10 game record doesn't look so hot. I think they are definitely trending for that top pick.

I will not accept any Wolf slander around here!

He is young, is incredibly talented and had an amazing year last year. This year he has been fine, had a few bad games but overall has played well considering the team around him.

Due to lack of top end talent, if everyone shows up to play, the Flames lose

There is no way the team can win later in the season. Conroy, please do your things

The Flames played well but were undone by the Celebrini show and some bad bounces.

Losses like this are probably the best case scenario where they get closer to a high draft pick while still maintaining a hard working culture.

By your math is he almost 30 and can take some accountability. He was awful on the 2nd goal. Not a great night for Wolf.

You mean the blown icing call?

Yes the blown ice call, it is possible to both have a ref blow a call and have a player make a mistake at the same time. Wolf has been stunned by a non-icing call leading to a goal twice in the last 4 weeks.

Either way, he is almost 30 and needs to play better than he has so far this season.

They lost even with the vets you desperately want traded. Yet still you complain. But you have to make up a quote by Maloney to do it. Well done.

The Flames could finish last and win the lottery and they aren't getting a player like Celebrini.
