So their explanation is that all four of these guys were extended in secret before the season started and they just felt like waiting until now to announce it?
I'm not sure if anything has ever added up less than that does. Why did they announce the Huska deal by itself if they had four others in the can?
I don't buy it. I really don't. It doesn't matter at this point, it's done, but what a silly, needless PR disaster this has been.

Okay not just me then....it was very distracting.
Also this team can't get out of their own way at times "Yeah we had these deals all signed before the season"
Sure you did...yet when Maloney was directly asked a week ago he said they have an internal process going on for that.

You can tell even Craig is uncomfortable trying to explain it.
Just dumb.
Ultimately I'm just happy he signed.
But this team is just awful at PR. REALLY bad.

Yeah. The process is to toy with your most passionate fans emotions for ####s and giggles.

Why on earth would they wait this long to announce these extensions if they were signed prior to the season? It might be time to call in a professional PR team, to try and rehab this mess.

Regardless of the PR fumble, it’s nice to see Conroy on camera again as the Flames spokesperson.
No more Maloney on camera, please.

A hot air baloon (no disrespect to Conny, LOL) tied to two boat anchors. Yeesh.
Let him fly! Ditch the other two. Pascall is fne, but Nonis and Maloney have got to go. Murray Edwards really DOES like paying people to do nothing.

If ownership had the slightest clue how to run a hockey club then they would have announced the Conroy extension saying he had full autonomy on hockey decisions. Oh and they would have handed Phoney Maloney his pink slip.

Whoever replaced Hanlon as VP communications needs to be fired. Was it Sean Kelso who had a fit when Bill Smith wasn’t elected mayor? Get that clown out of here

It does look like he has done this on purpose. Like started plucking them and then stopped halfway. Maybe you could pull this look off on a CRT television

It's genuinely funny seeing how badly the comms have gone off the rails as soon as they promoted Hanlon. Did they just not backfill the role?

Nonis still has a punchable Canuck face.

They could refresh a few things around the club. The in game experience is a little stale compared to other games I have been to as well.
It’s silly to wait for the new building on a lot of this. Especially when the on ice product is suffering.

It’s a case study in bad PR. Every action they’ve taken has been a misstep.
BAD Maloney interview, unforced error. Response? Doubling down in the 2-part Francis interview and talk down to the fans.
Fan uneasiness about this whole sequence and Conroy without a contract. Response? Announce the whole leadership group is re-signed, which in itself is a misread, but then also lie that everyone was signed before the season, despite Maloney interview with Francis suggesting otherwise?
A little bit of honesty would be oh so refreshing.

PR fumbles asside, I don't really get fans.
They have basically done what 90% of fans have asked for.
It's hard to point to any given trade and say they could have done better,
at this point it's hard to say they have squandered their draft capital.
It's hard to point to them drastically mismanaging player development.
I don't really see reason to celebrate this announcement, but I also think in times like these, stability and sticking to the plan isn't a bad thing.

Not sure about the fit, but according to the website the VP comms is in fact Mr. Kelso.
EDIT: off topic but I can't get over Lowry's head shot here. It's giving Grumpy Cat.
