What. All he said was he can't generate offence and all he can do is try to keep the puck out of the net, which is objectively true and the point of being a goaltender.
He didn't throw anyone under the bus. What Storlarz said earlier was way worse.

I listened to the clip of Wolf again. Still not a great comment that he did his job, implying others did not.
Kypreous and others ripping on Wolf on the radio right now. They don’t like it at all.
Their take was the Flames were 25th in goal last year. Where does Wolf expect the offence to come from. And that he signed on for the re-build.
National media loves a good sound bite but isn't so big on context. If they actually watched his full interview Kypreos and Co wouldn't have much to talk about.
The real story here isn't an upset star goalie but rather a team who just cant score goals and why they continue to struggle.
Well, this is part of the development - how to talk in front of the media. It isn't a wonder that NHL players rarely open up and just give cliche answers.
It was a loaded question that painted Dustin into a corner. It's weird to ask a goalie about the lack of goal scoring. And I think you can see him wrestling with it in real time. He did fine reacting to what was a somewhat unfair question.

Still think that should have been 2 for elbowing. I know it wasn't intentional, but you should still be held responsible for keeping your elbows down. Those things can do a lot of damage, even incidentally.
Said he did his job and that he can't generate offense.
Good! Maybe he should be the Captain. Platitudes are useless at the best of times, but they're downright insulting to trot out when you need actual solutions.
For a team that show little to no emotion and GAF on most days, I am glad that Wolf said what he said. It wasn't to throw his teammates under the bus, but to state a fact.
The bigger issue to me is the stupid questions reporters ask... I mean they are just dumb to begin with. When a team loses, "What could you have done better?" Win. Score more than the other team. Like come up with some good questions or just move on.
What is Wolf supposed to say? Its the truth, he can't do anything for offence, his job is to stop pucks and he did. Their job is to put it in the net, and they haven't. Well done, at least one Flame is registering a pulse this season.
I wish Wolf was more direct and said something like 'don't ask me about the offense, I'm the goalie'. The Media keeps getting away with having the dumbest questions and should rightfully be called out for it by the players.
