Wasn’t there a massive gold heist at YYZ sometime like a year ago?

Dummies. You are in the Schengen. Get yourself to another country before booking a flight out. Have they never stolen crown jewels before?

No kidding. You'd think buying some train tickets and leaving from Spain or Italy in a month would drastically reduce your chances of getting caught.

Hunt on for remaining Louvre thieves after first arrests made

Two suspects with a history of jewel thefts had been tracked for days after their DNA was recovered from the museum and were arrested shortly before one of them was set to board a flight out of the country, a police official told NBC News on Monday.

https://www.nbcnews.com/world/europe...ice-rcna239980

Quote:
Ronde added that the two arrested suspects were both men in their 30s, who had prior convictions and were known to police having previously targeted jewelry stores.

They were both from Aubervilliers, a suburb in northeast Paris, Ronde said. He said that police decided to move in on Saturday when it became clear that one suspect was planning to flee to Algeria. He was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport 40 minutes before the flight was due to take off.

So it sounds like these guys were just dumb.

The already had their DNA in police databases for similar crimes and just thought they could go back to their homes for a few days or get on planes?

What is worse?

The fact that these guys are clearly idiots or the fact that The Louvre, the most famous museum in the World, got the French CROWN JEWELS heisted by idiots?

I see that they apprehended some potential suspects. How is retrieving the stolen property coming along? Is Inspector Clouseau on the case?
